This 1-year-old Tesla Model S 85D is, without doubt, the best car we've ever owned. It's in perfect condition. We're selling it because we’ve ordered our second Tesla. This car has UNLIMITED FREE access to the ever-expanding Tesla super-charging network FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR. Late last year, Tesla announced that new cars ordered after 1/15/17 will have only 400 kilowatt hours, or about 1,000 miles, of free charging every year. Unlimited free charging is wonderful; last August we made a 6,000 mile road-trip and didn't spend a dime on fuel or charging. The car comes with 120 volt, 240 volt, and J1772 charging adaptors for use when charging at regular EV charging stations (i.e., non-Tesla destination- or super-chargers). The car is extremely safe and is quick and responsive -- 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. It has a range of 272 miles (at 65 mph) and a maximum speed of 155mph. We normally get a full charge at home overnight using a standard 240VAC 50A service. The Autopilot convenience features include capabilities such as traffic-aware cruise control, lane keeping with automatic steering, and self-parking. These capabilities continue to expand and improve over time due to progressive software updates. The Tesla basic vehicle warranty covers repair or replacement necessary to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any parts manufactured or supplied by Tesla that occur under normal use for a period of 4 years or 50,000 miles whichever comes first. The Tesla lithium-ion battery and drive unit are covered for a period of 8 years, unlimited miles.
