1980 BMW R100RT, an Airhead, beautifully original, serviced, new tires, top-of-the-line for BMW; a Gem Ready to ride. Fully serviced, newer brakes & battery, new tires/tubes, oil change, carbs tuned. This is a well cared-for, strong running example of BMW’s top-of-the line bike for this year. All original, smoke-dark red paint, lights, lenses, grips and pegs are in great shape for a 37 year old bike. Mileage on bike is 78,700 (odometer failed at 54,251, sent to Texas for repair and now reads 24,449). Three owners since the bike was new - 26 years with the middle owner. I’m selling to make room for an older BMW R-series bike. Always garaged when not in use, this bike has run only using ethanol-free fuel since it was new. Original tools are under the seat. Original; paint is shiny, seat is perfect, fairing is unclouded and sturdy, but has a few marks and a small crack low in windscreen at one of the connection points, and two cracks within the fairing air vent, all locks match and work as new, engine runs smooth and torquey.
