The 400X is a legendary ATV that is without a doubt, one of the most popular sport ATVs of all time. Excellent Honda build quality, a 17 year production run, plus parts and accessory support from just about every aftermarket company on the planet! Needless to say, you can't go wrong with a 400X. The 400X is a very peppy 4-stroke that is a blast to ride. It is air-cooled to reduce maintenance requirements and to maintain simplicity. The engine is backed up by an awesome 5 speed manual shift transmission with a fully manual clutch. The suspension is an independent double-wishbone setup with Showa shocks in the front that offers 8.2" of suspension travel. The rear Pro-Link suspension uses a swing-arm with 9.1" of suspension travel. It uses dual hydraulic brakes in the front with a single hydraulic brake in the rear. In addition to everything that makes this 400X one of the greatest sport ATVs ever, it also has a DG exhaust pipe and front bumper. The front bumper may add a little strength against front end bumps and the exhaust adds looks as well as ramping up the overall power and performance. Of course it does come with a clear title. Condition: This machine is in nice used condition. It doesn't come standard with any kind of speedometer or hour meter so we cannot tell you how many hours or miles it has on it. What we can say is that we see a lot of ATVs each year, and this is a well maintained machine that is 100% ready to ride. Most sport quads are rode hard, put away wet, and seldom maintained. This machine seems to be an exception to the rule. The engine is perfect and fires immediately. The chassis and suspension are in excellent shape with nothing damaged, bent, or broken. It revs perfectly and runs great with no misses, noises, leaks, or smoke. The brakes all function perfectly and the suspension is nice and tight with no play in the wheel bearings, tie-rod ends, etc. The plastics are in good shape with a few light scratches here and there, but this is a used machine so that should be expected. There didn't seem to be any major blemishes that stood out when we checked it over. We have also provided pictures below so that you can see exactly what the machine looks like. There are no cracks or broken plastic and it has obviously not been rolled or wrecked. The lucky new owner of this 400X is going to get a great bike that will offer a ton of enjoyment with a long life. Everything on it functions exactly as it should. The engine is 100% stock and has not been opened up. A new one just like this would set you back around $6399 plus fees. This one looks nice, runs great and is a chance to get all the features you want at a great price. We are right off Interstate 75, 10 miles North of Lexington, KY and 75 miles South of Cincinnati, OH. Our preference is that you pick this machine up with cash in person, but we will also accept a certified check, or bank to bank wire transfer. It MUST be paid for (not necessarily picked up) within 7 days of the listing's close. If you pick this ATV up in person, we are required by law to charge you 6% Kentucky sales tax. When you title this ATV in your home state they WILL credit the 6% back to you and you will only have to pay the difference (if there is any) to your local sales tax. (Except in West Virginia). Thinking you can avoid sales tax by purchasing out of state is an urban legend and will cause you heartache. Trust us. Just pay the sales tax and forget it.If you have it delivered to you, anywhere outside of Kentucky, you do not have to pay Kentucky sales tax but may still have to pay sales tax in your home state. The only other exception to this sales tax rule is a valid state exemption for farm/agricultural use.If it ships, it must be paid in full first. If you pick it up yourself or have it shipped to a border town and do your own border crossing you will save thousands vs buying in Canada. We also have a shipper we can direct you to who has many warehouses along the border where it can be shipped to and stored until you pick it up.
