There is a toggle switch in the truck that allows you to switch between gasoline and CNG at any time while the engine is running. It will start and run on CNG or gasoline. If it runs out of CNG, it will automatically shift to run on gasoline without having to flip the switch. It was converted to bi-fuel CNG/gasoline by PowerFuel CNG Systems. PowerFuel has been converting Ford trucks to run on natural gas since 2010 and is still actively converting Fords with EPA approval. It has a sterling reputation in the conversion industry. This conversion is EPA certified. Looking under the hood, one can see that it a professional installation that is fully integrated into the Ford engine control system.
