Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1974 CB750K. I believe I am the 3rd owner. The previous owner purchased it in 1977 from the 1st owner. The bike has a clean Ohio title with my name on it. Overall I would say this bike is in fair to good condition. The paint looks good, while the chrome does have surface rust and pitting it cleans up pretty well. Mechanically the bike is in good shape, I haven't rode it since 2015, but it does start and run. I would not call it running and riding at this point because the carbs need some work. I included a video of the bike running, it sounds pretty good, when you rev it, but doesn't idle great and can be hard to start when cold. However, once I got it started cold a couple of days ago, I was able to get it to re-start with the kick starter. Here is a link to the video of it Running: https://youtu.be/qP5BHYqlQv8 The following work was done in 2015: 1) New Bridgestone Battleaxe tires, (they are still in like new condition)2) New Spark Plugs and caps3) New Motion Pro throttle, clutch, speedo, and tach cables.4) New air filter and hoses between air box and carbs5) New Hondaman blade type fuse box6) New electronic turn signal flasher7) New fuel petcock8) New fuel line from petcock to carbs using OEM style hose9) Gas tank was sealed using POR15 kit. The tank was not thin, leaking or scaled up, but it had some surface rust so I cleaned, etched, and sealed it.10) Carbs cleaned and rebuilt, I left original needles and seats, new pilot and main jets. Original floats (not leaking). The carbs still need work as I said earlier though. 11) New modern master cylinder with braided stainless hose direct from master cylinder to caliper. This eliminates the factory brake light switch and utilizes a brake light switch built into the new master cylinder. I am including all the original brake hardware if somebody wanted to put it back to stock12) New bars, the previous owner had tall cruiser bars on it so I put new super bike type bars which are 1" lower than stock. (I do not have the original bars)13) The bike has the original wiring harness. I went through and made sure everything works, headlight, flashers, indicator lights, etc. Some notes about the bike:1) All of the chrome as some amount of surface rust or pitting. I cleaned some areas and it shines up pretty good.2) 1 of the side covers has a crack in it3) The front brake seems to be dragging slightly4) The title says the bike has 52,000 miles on it. The odometer says 10,662, however I am assuming it rolled over once so I listed the actual mileage at 100,662. 5) As you can see in the photos, the seat is split and will need re-covered6) There are aftermarket mini front turn signals on the bike, I am including the stock turn signals as well.7) The previous owner drilled and tapped the fork caps and added a schrader valve in order to be able to pressurize and add preload to the fork. This was a common modification. The original non drilled fork caps are included.8) The fork legs are clean and in good shape with no signs of rust The following spares / accessories which are shown in the photos are also included.:1) Original owners manual and factory service manual2) Original turn signals3) Original Honda tool kit4) Original front brake master cylinder, lever, switch, and hoses5) Passenger pegs6) Headlamp7) New oil filter8) Original Mirrors9) Original fuse box10) some misc. new hardware in Honda bags11) Fork caps. I have made every effort to provide as much information as I have about the bike and its condition. If you have any further questions please feel free to message me. Thank you,
