Vehicle Detail

This is a Z24 Cavalier, with the nearly bullet proof Quad Four. Miles are very low for the year, and if you take care of it you'll easily get another 100k miles out of it. It has a few scuffs and scratches here and there, as you'd expect with an older car. It was previously owned by an old man that rarely used it. There's no real rust that I've noticed. I've had it for a bit over half a year, and it is a very reliable vehicle. I bought it with 70k miles on it, and put on 15k in about four months. I frequently would need to drive to another state for work and back, putting on five hundred miles in a day, without any issues. You can set the cruise control for 75mph and it would move down the highway all day. While I could manage to get a lot of stuff in the Cavalier, it was a pain at times. I've bought a truck instead, and that's why I'm selling the Cavalier. There are a few unusual cosmetic issues with the car. First, if you haven't noticed, it's PURPLE. I have been calling it the Purple Nurple. Secondly, the previous owner cut the center dash area around the radio to install a new one, and then put duct tape over the cuts. They are two small, clean cuts at the thinnest area on the dash. Nothing a little JB weld wouldn't fix, or leave it the way it is. It never bothered me any. While I was still using it, I had noticed a few things were wearing out. The brakes needed some work as they were squeaking a lot, suspension was tired, a possible issue with a bearing as there was a slight hum at high speed, etc. I took it into the shop at the beginning of Dec. and had it gone through front to back so that when I sold it, there wouldn't be any problems for the new owner. I had the front struts replaced, an alignment done, a back wheel bearing replaced, the rear brakes cleaned up and adjusted, the front rotors replaced and new pads installed, there was a vacuum line that was setting of the check engine light that was fixed, the fluids have been changed, and that's all I remember off the top of my head. The cost of the repairs were $1750, so that's what I'm starting the auction with. Tires are in good shape, so it will be a long time before it needs anything else. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. If you're looking for rock solid (PURPLE) transportation, you won't get much better than this car!
