After shooting this photograph with the flag in the background, I realized that today is Veteran's Day. A very special thank you to all you Vets!INVESTMENT QUALITY TRUCK1996 Ford F350 Crew Cab 4x4 SRWRust FREE and ONLY 33K ACTUAL MILES!!NO RESERVE AUCTIONHIGHEST BIDDER = NEW OWNERAuction Ends Sunday November 20 at 7:00 PM Pacific Standard Time I have been admiring this truck for some time now. This truck was kept at a storage facility where I have some of my things stored. One day, I bumped into the people that owned it and formally introduced myself to Bob and Shirley. I had asked them about the truck because I had seen it there for quite a while. Bob said that they bought this truck in 2004 from a doctor who never used it. He said the doctor fell in love with the Roll A Long conversion package and just had to have it, despite only really using his truck to haul his lawnmower on occasion. It had pretty much sat in his garage for 8 years. It only had 7K miles on it when they bought it from the doctor in 2004! Bob said that he really loved the truck and only used it for seasonal camping to pull a small RV and it only has 33K miles on it. That is why I always saw it at the storage facility, they only were using it during the nice weather. The rest of the time they were paying to have it stored under cover. This guy really takes great care of his stuff. All of the service work and maintenance was done at Ford. Bob now in his 80's had mentioned that he had considered letting the truck go, I could not pass on the opportunity to buy this truck. This truck looks, runs, and drives absolutely amazing! I knew this truck was nice, but the closer I look at it the more I love it. This is BY FAR the nicest F350 crew cab 4x4 I have ever seen in this vintage. The interior on this truck is the closest to perfect that you could possibly ask for. The captain chair seats look and feel brand new. It has beautiful trim woodwork on the fold up console and seating for six, bring the whole family! (6 seatbelts)The carpet doesn't show any wear or stains anywhere. Not a single crack in the dash, it's perfect. The steering wheel does not show age or wear, it's really nice. The door panels look new except for one small hairline crack on the driver's door panel. (see pictures below) The headliner is perfect and looks new. All of the glass is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips, it is in great shape. All of the lights and gauges work as they should. The original AM/FM cassette player works great, sounds pretty good, too! The air conditioning blows cold, heater gets nice and toasty! All of the power window switches work, power locks work, and the 6 way power seat works. No strange smells, odors of any kind, no rips, tears, looks and feels as close to PERFECT as I have ever seen! The body on this truck is amazing! Check out the pictures below that indicate how laser straight this thing is. This truck has never been in any kind of accident and has never had any prior paint or body work. All of the body lines line up perfect. The doors open and close tight and true. The paint is in excellent condition and the garage and covered storage pampering shows. The passenger rear fender flare has gotten warm and melted where the exhaust was just a little too close. It is on the very bottom of the flare and not really noticable unless you get on the ground, please see pictures. There are a couple of small chips on the driver's door that have been touched up. There are a couple of minor chips on the bed rails, and the inside of the bed has some scratches but no dents from cargo. I considered having a spray in liner done on this truck, but that can hide imperfections and I wanted to show how nice this truck really is. Nothing to hide on this truck, it's immaculate throughout! One of the first things that stands out on this truck besides its SUPER LOW 33K MILES is the unique paint scheme and some of the exterior aftermarket extras. This truck was purchased new with what is called a Roll A Long "Wrangler" package. You may or may not recall in the 90's there were several companies doing high end conversion kits and packages on Suburbans, vans, and HD Trucks. These were done on brand new vehicles before they were sold and basically were an extension of the OEM design and retained the factory warranty. Some of the highlights to this particular Roll A Long package included captain chairs with a 6 way power seat, roll top center console, back lighted accessory switch panel, and solar tint rear windows. Some of the exterior highlights included a billet aluminum grille with driving lights, painted fender flares, stainless steel two piece running boards with amber clearance lights and door courtesy lights, drop step rear bumper with bright back up lights, break-a-way mud flaps with stainless steel anti-sail brackets, upgraded wheels, and custom Phoenix paint with two color pinstriping. The amber colored running lights on the running boards are on when lights or marker lights are turned on. There are 2 clear marker courtesy lights on the running boards that light up automatically when you open the door. This is a very neat and useful feature! The undercarriage of this truck is probably what surprised me the most on this truck. To say it has never been off road would be an understatement. As clean as everything looks underneath, it would not surprise me if the truck was never driven in the rain. It really is THAT CLEAN! No leaks of any kind, absolutely no rust, I have never seen a better looking undercarriage on a 20 year old truck. The aluminum on the transfer case is shiny, the transmission pan is as clean as your kitchen countertop. It still has the factory stickers on both drivelines. The exhaust even has a shine to it on the catalytic converter, absolutely amazing! Please check out the pictures below. This is a 33K mile pampered truck that drives every bit as nice as it looks. The brakes were done a couple of thousand miles ago at Ford. The 460 motor runs very smooth and has lots of power. This is probably the quietest 460 I have ever heard. When cold starting, there is no exhaust leak, no ticky tick sound, no rattle, none of the associated normal sounds of a used 460. This thing absolutely purrs. The transmission shifts smoothly through all of its gears. The transfer case shifts in all positions and works as it should. The 4WD auto locking hubs engage and disengage properly. This starts, runs, drives, and stops really nice. Brakes feel firm and stop smoothly without any pull or hop. It drives very smooth down the road with no pull either direction. The steering and suspension feel very tight and responsive. All of the lights, accessories, and gauges work as they should. It does have factory optioned dual tanks and the switch on the dash works properly. All of the rubber moulding such as the door seals and window scrubbers are nice. They are not dried out or cracked, still very nice and pliable. It's practically like getting a brand new 20 year old truck! I am amazed how much attention this truck gets driving down the road and around town. People give me the thumbs up and ask me about the truck almost every time I park in a parking lot. This is one of the most popular and desirable configurations that Ford has ever built. In my opinion, it is the best body style they have ever built. People see and like this vintage of truck, but everyone who gets a close look at this truck is in awe of the condition. Wow, is the first word that comes to mind when walking around this truck. With only 33K actual miles, this truck's overall condition is truly amazing throughout. This truck, although not brand new, looks as nice as a new truck and doesn't carry the $70,000 or much higher MSRP price tag. Truth be told, I believe this will garner more attention at the boat launch or parking lot than a brand new truck too. I could go on forever describing how nice of truck that this is, but I think by now you have a pretty good idea of what this truck is and what this truck isn't. I have taken well over 150 pictures of this truck and described it and any known imperfections to the best of my ability. I am very meticulous and tried to point out anything that wasn't perfect on this truck. Please study the pictures a couple of times, reread the ad if necessary, and then if you have any questions please contact me. I am in Salem, Oregon and would be happy to show this truck to anyone who would like to see it prior to bidding. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION and highest bidder will own it!
