2008 Toyota Prius147,500 milesClear title. Im 2nd owner, I bought it about 5 years ago when it had about 80,000 miles on it, and it has been my daily driver. Ive had it in a garage overnight every day Ive owned it until this week.It had been running & driving perfectly, with everything working, all electronics, everything until last week. While driving it home last week it started making a ticking/clanking noise.Whenever the gas engine was on, I would hear this noise.The faster the engine would RPM, the faster the noise, and the gas engine was not producing power like it used to.No smoke out the exhaust, no other symptoms, just the ticking noise & lack of power when I floor the pedal. No leaks.When gas engine is not on (when coasting or decelerating or at low speeds or stopped) there is no noise. So I drove it to a Toyota Dealer. (still drives ok, keeps up with traffic without any problems)They told me it would be minimum of $600 to start the trouble shooting, and they would not know anymore until they had it up in the air and started removing parts. They said it might cost more to troubleshoot in order to identify the exact problem, and then even more $ to replace whatever is wrong.At that point, I decided to buy a new 2017 Prius, which I did.And now I am selling my old Prius. Typical wear & tear for a 8 year old vehicle with 147k miles on it.At low rates of speed it has been rear ended twice, once with previous owner, and once when I was driving about 4 years ago. Both times insurance paid to replace rear bumper and few misc associated parts that needed to be fixed to make it like it was. I nor anyone can tell rear bumper was ever hit before. About $2,000 each time for parts & labor. .After I bought it, I really disliked how poor it handled (typical prius)So I bought & installed the Tanabe Top Front Strut Tower Bar (u can see in pics).Also a Tanabe Rear UnderBrace.Also new sport springs (cant remember brand name) they lowered the prius about 1" and are progressive (meaning, the harder u turn, the harder they are to compress).It became the best handling Prius Ive ever been in!Also replaced tires with slightly wider ones (195/65/R15 and they are still in really great shape with plenty of tread (see pic).Bought & installed WeatherTec Digital floormats for front driver & passenger, rear passengers, and rear cargo area.Bought & installed LeatherSkin steering wheel. (its great! there is one part of the stitching rope that has broken. It hasnt affected or loosened anything, so I never bothered to try to fix it)And added one of the slip in cargo additions onto the floor between central console & under stereo.Im 6ft tall, so I also bought & installed one of those "things so you have 3 more inches of legroom, ie u can move the drivers seat back an extra 3 inches."Still has original owners manual, & 2 keys. All else is stock & everything works great, ac, radio, steering, brakes.No leaks, no other strange noises besides what I shared above. Typical wear & tear for 147,500 mile car.Seats still supportive & feel great.Let me try to list what one might call the bad?:-Under front license plate, there is a cosmetic 1" tall by 1/2" wide crease (see pic) its barely noticeable.-Typical small paint chips on hood, some of which I used touch up paint on few years ago-Passenger door has few scratches, two of the scratches are about 3" long by 1/64" wide.-Top of spoiler at rear of hatch has like several like fingerprint marks on it, not real noticeable, but u can see it. Might be able to rub them out, Ive never tried.-Inside of front passenger door panel, on the top area, has has few small rips in it (see pic)(I bought a used door panel to replace it 2 years ago, but I never got around to doing the labor, and got uses to it as is. This will be in trunk for new buyer.)-Various small marks or stains in the seats, nothing out of ordinary, typical wear & tear. I never tried to use any fabric cleaner to get them out. Im confident most of the could be cleaned up with little effort.-The plastic shield or liner under front of car came off 1 year ago, I bought a new replacement, but never got around to installing it. It will be in the trunk for new owner.
