The Original "Hot Hatch" 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI MK 1 Sport. 72,500 miles. Very desirable Factory Air-conditioning, and original, factory installed metal, manual sunroof. Blaupunkt "Denver" model, AMFM Cassette Stereo. This is a legitimate GTI. Manufactured September 1983 by Volkswagen of America. New sport exhaust with heavy chrome plated exhaust. Four (4) new Douglas high performance radial tires. Sunroof does not leak. No oil leaks from engine or fluid leaks from engine area, radiator, transmission or real differential. GTI has been maintained by Volkswagen/Porsche enthusiast garage. Runs, drives, stops, starts just like 1984. Rare cruise control equipment not installed but included with purchase. Repainted original color ten years ago. Engine was removed to repaint engine bay. GTI gauge cluster on console with functioning click. Original GTI "golf ball" shift knob. A local VW guru said to mention: The Spare Tire Well is rust free. The car is running great. It just made a little 120 mile trip to see my son in college. The Interior is beautiful, the seats are clean, firm and without a tear. The door panels are perfect. The sunroof does not leak.
