Vehicle Detail
This is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible with a 4-Speed transmission and a 140HP 4 carb engine. It has been recently painted with the new base coat / clear coat paint and all trim was removed and polished during the process. The car starts and runs good. The interior is in good shape as well as the rubber seals and everything seems to be original. The carburetors were just rebuilt although they didn't look to be in bad shape. It has new fuel filters on the 4 carburetors. In full disclosure, the speedometer works fine but the odometer may need the nylon gear replaced as these get brittle with age and the brakes stop good but may need some adjustment on the right front wheel. This car is in good shape for an automobile that is over half a century old and much cheaper than new tin can cars. With the engine in the rear and the 4 speed transmission, this car is very fun to drive and takes curves better than any car we've ever owned. The previous owner told us that this car used to be in a automobile museum in Missouri but we never bothered to verify this. We are selling the car because of health issues without ever having the time to drive it much. Included is the owners manual and a copy of the Chevrolet service manuals. ***Please email for questions or new pictures. You are welcome to have a local agent inspect the car. Local pickup only or you arrange your own shipping. Sales to the lower 48 states only.*** ****Because of requests we are adding a few more pictures. We were told that the floor pan had a small patch and the vehicle bottom was sprayed with POR-15 to prevent rust damage. For those of you that have asked for more pics, please view the new additions. Thanks for your interest.
