This 1968 GTO Convertible is a survivor that needs to be restored, but it is roadworthy today and runs and drives great. This GTO has its original motor that runs great. This car came from the factory painted Vedoro green with Parchment interior (white) and a black convertible top. Today the top is white, but it needs to be replaced if the car is restored as it has multiple holes. Electrically the car is sound as the headlights, brake lights, blinkers, and some interior lights work. It is a driver the way it sits, but needs some help cosmetically. This car is not a rust bucket, but it has some rust. The trunk area has two large spots that have rusted through and bubbling is easily seen on the quarter panels which will need to be attended to whenever you are ready to do the bodywork. Floors are solid and I would say decent. Rails seem solid as well. There is no radio. The car originally had A/C but few of the original air components are still on the car. The wheels currently on it are late 1970s Z28 wheels that are worth around $500 once a good set of original rallys are located. The choke works on what appears to be the original carburetor. It has a few leaks as any old car has, but under the hood I don't see any leaks. This car needs some work and as an original motor 1968 GTO convertible it deserves a full restoration, but for now it runs and drives great and makes for a great conversation piece at car shows. In the words of a fine car collector "Find me another one!' I do suggest trailering it although I would trust it to drive if you live locally.
