Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car at the end of 2004, it had about 12,000 miles on it at the time. I drove it until about October of 2015 when I decided to move on. For about 6 of the years I owned it, I worked about a mile from home, the other 5 years I wasn't working hence the low mileage. It was briefly transferred to my older son, he only had it a month or so and never got it on the road before it came back to me. While I had it, it was in one very minor accident which caused the cracked bumper shown in the photo, also broke a headlight, which I replaced. Was a very slow impact rearend accident, no airbags, no damage to the metal bumper of the other vehicle. The check engine light has been on for 3-4 years. I was told it was a "leak in the vapor lock system" and smoke would need to be run through it to find it. I would always just unhook the battery to make the light go away for a day or two to get the inspection done. A/C and heat both work great, remote starter works great, there is some rust and dings which are pictured. Just needs a good cleaning inside. It's been sitting since December or so, driven up and down my road a few times, and started several times a month. My original plan was to put it back on the road as a spare vehicle, but it never happened. Car starts right up, and runs good, but this is an "as is sale" it is 12years old with 92k miles. Vehicle is not currently on the road. This is a pickup only sale. Zip code is 12589, Wallkill, NY. Cash only will be accepted, no paypal, checks, etc. Any questions, please ask. On Aug-25-16 at 17:44:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I've gotten several questions from people about this car and have responded to all, only to find messages in my yahoo mail saying that they were all failed emails. I apologize to anyone who asked a question if they did not receive my response. I will try to address the questions now. First was if I thought winning, flying here to pay and driving it back 1400 miles home would work? I say no, its not currently registered, or inspected, although it starts right up, seems fine, been up and down my road a few times, it has not been really driven in 10months or so. So that's a huge risk for any car in that position. Second was has it ever been in a flood due to what was called "a lot of rust". no, it has not. It has some rust on the bottom of drivers door, and on some bolts around the engine. Engine itself just needs a good cleaning and I was taking pictures in the rain. Third was would I get if inspected if someone won it? No, it's as is. After sitting for about 9-10 months, I don't know that it would def pass inspection, and I honestly don't want to be bothered. It's a good price, the book value is over $2,200.00. It's being sold because I don't have the money to put it on the road as a backup car, if I did, I'd keep it. It's a sore subject for me as I don't want to sell it, but since I have too, I just want to be done with it. Whom ever wins is responsible for picking it up and getting it home however they see fit.
