Please read the entire description of the vehicle and preview all pictures prior to bidding! up for auction is a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with 115,077 Original Miles Car runs perfect however there is a small transmission issue.When you get to a stop and then try to accelerate the gas pedal sometimes doesn't engage.In other words you press the gas pedal but the car doesn't move forward.It does not do it all the time but it does it once in a while.I had to let the pedal go then press again couple of more times until it engaged again and it got going. (Transmission doesn't slip and it goes in reverse with no problems). I've been told by an ASE certified mechanic that this is a common problem with Fords and he told me to pour a bottle or two of Motorcraft friction modifier and it would fix it right away.I couldn't find any at the local parts store so that's why I didn't try it.It's about $10 per bottle but I think it has to be ordered from a dealership. Not sure. And I cannot guarantee you it will work. That's what my mechanic told me. In the worst case scenario you are looking at replacing the transmission which cost around $500 and since it's a RWD vehicle it's easy to replace.So just keep that in mind please! But it could also be a solenoid,clogged filter,cable and who knows what else?...I'm not a mechanic so I don't know... Engine is perfect ! A/C blows Ice cubes !! it's ford cold as they say !
