Driven about 5,000 miles on this car. It has never let me down. I am selling due that my personal responsibilities have increased and I am split between two locations. The motor runs smooth and quiet and I put new LEMFÖRDER motor mounts ($200.+ cost for parts, top quality) on it. The car goes down the road smooth, straight and true, no vibrations. Aside from the fuel delivery / power issue, it is nice to drive. When I first got the car it had full power. Something has happened with the fuel system? Just needs a regular maintenance? or could it be the injector pump? (two ends of spectrum). Car starts right up every time, idles well. details: - front brakes need new rotors and pads - issue with fuel system and power. current max. speed highway about 70mph + sometimes does not like steep hills, like in a residential area. - headlights mis-wired at the lights. see photos. low beam: one headlight, high beams: the small headlights come on bright. - front windows do not respond. previously owner suggested it is in the switches, not the regulators. - last year of manual throttle, 4 speed non electronic transmission. - small transmission fluid leak, have to periodically add transmission fluid. could be called minor. - horn does not work - missing fan shroud - good: wipers, AC blows a little cool, cabin fan good, turn signals good, taillights good. wiper blades good. - electric sunroof good. - mileage is unknown. car does not seem to have a great amount of miles on it. seat electric motors feel fresh, interior is not overly worn. dash instrument panel has been replaced with one from a 95? gas model. what this means: fuel gauge works, temp gauge works, odometer works (for keeping track of oil changes?), speedometer works. What does not work: RPM's on tach are off- shown too high, and there is no glow-plug light. I bought a used instrument panel from a wrecked '97 E300, but when I plugged it in, nothing worked and it showed all of the errors from the wreck. I then realized that the current set-up is pretty functional overall. Fuel gauge is wired backwards (likely at tank), so full = empty, and empty = full, but it works. Previous owner removed fuel tank and cleaned it out is when it must have gotten wired backwards, at the tank. - rear driver's side door outside latch quit working, otherwise door latches good. - there has been a passenger side spring perch repair. At first this alarmed me, however examining it, it is an excellent repair with steel strong than stock build + have put 5,000 on car same tires and do not see unusual tire wear (see photo of tire) + car drives straight and smooth, so I think it is an excellent repair and no issue. Structurally it looks stout using good quality steel + welding. - New motor mounts but did not replace transmission mount, which should be done at same time. - last year of ignition key with no computer chip. Last year of 4speed non electronic transmission and manual throttle. - body lines, appears to have suffered no major accident, has not been hit or wrecked. - done two oil changes with Shell T6 fully synthetic oil. - tire set is matched BF Goodrich factory specification size - radio works This car starts, runs, and drives. Front brakes make a light scraping sound, car fuel delivery power is not at spec, needs to be figured out. Clear Georgia title ready for new owner.
