I am helping a friend sell his car. This is the personal vehicle of Glenn DuBois, a 38 year Volvo mechanic, but because Glenn owns DuBois Automotive and is a Kansas dealer, the car is titled and being sold as a dealer vehicle. If the car is purchased in Kansas, Glenn will need to add sales tax to the final purchase price. Glenn says: I am the second owner. The first owner purchased the car new in Wichita, Kansas, at Gorges Volvo. Most of the miles on the car were commuting from Newton, Kansas to his teaching job in Wichita. I purchased the car in 2013 after it had been stored in his garage for several years. I always admired this car and remember seeing it for the first time in Newton during my senior year in high school in 1970. I have been working on Volvos since 1978, and the first owner contacted me when he was ready to sell. I have done mechanical work on the car to get it running again and road worthy. It is now ready for the next stage of restoration (paint and body work) to be in top shape. I have other things taking my time now and am ready for this P1800 to have a new home.
