Vehicle Detail
1996 Ford F-250 4x4 7.3 Diesel Automatic Transmission 135,xxx miles The truck runs great, starts instantly every time. Transmission has been recently rebuilt with a shift kit. The engine is all stock, no programmer ever. The front end was just rebuilt with new bushings, tie rods, ball joints, wheel joints, etc. Two new batteries. Interior is in good shape. No rips or major damage. Carpet needs a good cleaning. Dash has a couple very small cracks. All power windows and locks work as they should. 4x4 works great. New Firestone 10-ply tires. Ranch Hand bumpers. All lights and signals work as they should. The truck was owned by a fire department in Kentucky up until it had 130,xxx miles so I would assume the maintenance has been kept up. The body of the truck is actually pretty straight with the exception of some dings in the hood. There is some rust in the lower fenders, outer cab corners, and above the rear wheels. The cab is extremely solid other than the cab corners. There is no rust in the doors. The rust above the rear wheels could be treated and covered up by some Bushwacker fender flares (I've already measured to make sure they would cover since I didn't feel like replacing the bed sides). Underneath the truck is very clean. It doesn't appear to have ever been in mud. There is some adhesive on the sides from all the fire dept. stickers but I should have all that cleaned up before the truck sells. The good:new batteriesnew battery cablesnew tiresrebuilt front end The bad:oil leak (haven't really checked to see what's leaking but it will leave a few drips on the ground if you let it sit for a day or so)A/C compressor kicks on occasionally but doesn't blow cold This would make someone a very nice truck if they wanted to do the bodywork and put a nice paint job on it. These trucks are worth a small fortune when they are in good shape. And you would have a hard time finding one with lower miles. I bought the truck with the intentions to restore it but a kitchen remodel forces the sale. However it would make a great work truck and could be driven daily as is. I've tried to give as much detail on the truck as possible but if you have any other questions feel free to call or text me at 812-457-2668. The truck isn't perfect by any means, but its a great start to a very cool ride and it also has about 200,000 less miles than most 7.3's you'll find. I have a clean Indiana title in hand and I would be happy to help arrange inspections and test drives if you're in the area. Thanks for looking!
