1974 Datsun 260z very rust FREE Az car We have sold several Z cars here in Ebay over the yrs for customers and here is one more, probably the rarest of them all . WE Market our vehicles I think BETTER then anyone else's on ebay. The most HONEST PICS available and description. Ive seen other sellers ads and pics, and I find it hard to believe people even bid on some cars . UP FOR AUCTION: this is what we know about the car below. SUPER LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! BRIEF DESCRIPTION: we got the car basically how you see it... its mostly all original and stock with aprox 90k miles on it and could be original. There are many oem style hoses still installed under the hood. Seeing as it sat for about a yr, the tank is either empty or plugged. We ran a small container of gas to the fuel pump under the hood and when cold it starts with the small help of spray of some starting fluid. Then once started it idles higher then expected. Put it in gear and it dies everytime. So it will need to have that fixed before you can drive it. I pulled the carbs apart some today and got the plungers to move properly. Will try and drive it tomorrow some and see if its any better. While running motor does sound fine. We may mess with the carbs this week if we have time to try to get it to run better. Auto trans is good. THIS IS A VERY VERY RUST FREE hard to find 260z Survivor , 2 seater. with AC too which all seems to be there. Factory rear window louvers and signature 14" dish mags. There is a good chance this car may be sent back to JAPAN and if you need help getting it back there, we can at least help get it to the shipping docks in Long Beach or LA CALIF area. for a fair price. Getting it across the pond is up to the Winner if thats where its going. DRIVETRAIN: the best I can tell it could be the original drivetrain, Again, motor does run and start with the key, but when cold you need starting fluid. Once it warms up a bit, it starts on its own. Doesnt want to rev like normal, Im thinking still the carbs are dirty or plugged. PDB work fine and so does the trans and factory rearend. Nice unmolested under the hood with factory AC too. Original Engine = MATCHING #s car !!!! INTERIOR: not too bad of shape for its age. acceptable for a daily driver. The last owner had some work done to the ignition switch and it never got mounted properly back up to the steering column. Its currently zip tied to the column. Overall its in decent shape, the cars been in a garage most of its life here in Az. Cant say what all gauges work or dont. No radio... Tach is stuck at 8k lol. Door panels and carpet okay, both seats have splits in them. EXTERIOR: the car looks good in pics, but the clear coat it peeling from its 90s paint job really bad in spots. Originally it was white the best I can tell. I cant find any evidence of any major rot repair or accident repair. Being an AZ car it has minimal rust, almost none in or on the body or floors. Ive seen popular areas where these cars rust, and dont see any evidence of that on this car anywhere. Chrome is in nice shape too, all but the rear bumper has some prev damage. Glass all seems in good shape. Exterior lights all seem to function properly. UNDER the car I also see no signs of any previous major accidents or damage.. floorboards look great and the car is as solid as you can probably get for a car this old. I could see NO RUST anywhere under the car, but thats not uncommon for an AZ car like this thats been in a garage most of its life and never seen snow. SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension the best I can tell Im sure most of the bushings are dry out, but being a minimal rust car it would come apart easier then a rust bucket and making the repairs and restoration in its future again, more attractive. These cars handle great and tires also in pretty good shape.Car rides smoother then I expected to e honest but no weird noises for an older car. Shocks are prob original as its pretty soft driving around. Brakes feel normal and good. Check out ALL the pics below -----> If you see other auctions are not showing areas under their cars, who really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find out the hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as much as possible to potential buyers and bidders.
