Vehicle Detail
This is a work truck. I purchased it in the summer of 2006. It was a pumper truck from a small fire station in the mid west and when I got it it had 7,680 miles on it. With the help of a very good welder/mechanic we removed the pump and tank and built the dump body. We built it to transport lumber and cars. It is very heavy duty with a 3" thick white oak deck and a heavy steel main frame. The hoist has power up and power down so you can lift things with the tail end of the truck. The hydraulic control lever is in the rear so you can easily adjust the load angle when loading a vehicle. It has a 12K Ramsey winch with a cordless remote. (If you do not want the winch I will take $600 off the selling price) I have driven 30,000 miles around New England and it has provided me with excellent service. I have had the truck regularly serviced and last spring the brakes were completely gone though. It has a nice solid pedal and it stops great. The brakes squeak sometimes and I do not know why because there is lots of meat on the shoes. It has power steering, all the gages work, it has 2 speed ELECTRIC wipers and a 3 speed heater blower. The Heater core is currently disconnected because it developed a leak last spring. Prior to that the heat worked great. There is a crack in the drivers side exhaust manifold so you get a little back firing on the down grade. It is not loud but the exhaust will need to be replaced soon. In June I had a new water pump put in, got the oil changed, had the chassis lubed and I replaced the front fenders. I also replaced the winch battery. The truck runs very strong, is fully functional and is currently on the road. It is still very solid but it will need of some more body work. I have tried to show all the rust in the photos but if there is a angle I missed that you would like to see let me know. The tires are 22.5 radials and are all in good shape. The GVW is 22,000 and the tare is about 10,500. I live on the island of Martha's Vineyard but I take the truck off island on a regular basis. My name is Trevor. I am happy to answer any questions and can be reached at home @508-693-7607 between 8am and 8pm eastern standard time. I reserve the right to end this auction early because I also have the truck for sale locally.
