2001 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3L Diesel 4x4 Desirable 7.3L Powerstroke diesel.Fully optioned Limited trim. We are the second owners of this Excursion; we purchased this truck in 2003, and have loved it since then. There are no dents or rust anywhere.There are just a few very small scratches, and a few small cracks in the windshield -- about as good as 172,000 miles could possibly be. The interior is in perfect condition. The front seats show minimal wear. The second and third row seats have only been sat in a few times. The Excursion is very original. The only upgrades include: Amazing crystal clear (and loud) stereo with: 1,500 watts RMS (not peak!). Virtually indestructible Dynatrac “Free Spin Kit” manual locking front hubs. These replace the notoriously problematic original automatic locking hubs. An added bonus is improved fuel mileage. Front door windows tinted to match the factory tinting on the rest of the vehicle. In addition to these upgrades, we have always maintained this vehicle to very high standards. This includes 3,000 mile oil changes using synthetic oil and high quality oil filters. This vehicle should provide many more years and miles of service. This vehicle shows an accident on the vehicle history report. However, there was virtually no damage. Specifically, the Excursion was rear-ended by a Toyota Tacoma. Although the Tacoma endured $1,000s of dollars worth of damage, Only a tab on the hitch was bent on the Excursion. The hitch receiver was replaced, and there was no other damage--not even a scratch on the bumper There is one unfortunate downside however. The vehicle has recently started running terribly once warmed up. It starts great and runs great, but then starts to stumble and run very rough after about 30 minutes. I assume there is some electrical problem, but it has eluded detection so far. Therefore, the price is significantly reduced.
