Vehicle Detail

1973 (10-72 build date) 914 2.0 engine numbers matching, phoenix red (orange) with mostly original paint. Online photo album with over 100 pictures available by request. This car runs, drives and shifts fantastic, stock fuel injection, exhaust etc. Very good handling (factory front and rear sway bars), the suspension and brakes etc. are very good. Minor engine oil leak that I have not attempted to fix but I think it may be as simple as reinstalling the rocker covers with new gaskets. Original date matched fuchs alloy wheels. New tires, Optima battery, sail vinyl, door seals, front hood seal, fender to cowl seals, nos speakers. Everything including lights, radio, horn etc work. Odometer shows only 66,850 miles, I don’t have documentation to support the low miles but the condition especially the interior supports it and the odometer does work. Rare no-crack dash, very good interior upholstery, carpet, headliner, removable top etc. Porsche certificate of authenticity, options include: corduroy seats, tinted glass. This car has no rust. Even the battery area is solid. When I got it there was some rust damage in the jacking point surrounds and upper rear corners of the both back fenders and section of the rear trunk floor (super common on even the best 914’s) , these are places where dirt and moisture collect. I restore Porsche’s for a living and I have extensive welding and rust repair experience. All rust areas were completely and properly repaired by welding in clean new metal. Photo documention available by request. When I got this 914 the rear fenders were poorly repainted and I found out that the small upper rear corner rust spots (about 2x2 inches and 1x2 inches) were patched with bondo and then rattle can painted. I properly repaired the rust and repainted the rear fenders with paint ordered by code from automotivetouch.com. Unfortunately the color on the rear fenders is a shade off of the rest of the car which is I believe is still original paint. The car as you can see in the pictures looks great, my goal was to preserve as much of the original paint as I could by touching it up and polishing it etc. Repainting the rear fenders with an exact match color would be an improvement or to make this a show car someone may want to repaint the whole car. Detailed top to bottom, the wheel wells and floor pans under this Porsche are original paint and finishes and have no rust, I simply did an extensive cleaning then touched up a few paint chipped areas in the wheel wells. The front trunk has amazing/excellent original paint. This car has a very straight body with no evidence of any accidents in the past. The front hood seal channel which normally has rust on 914’s was excellent so I simply cleaned and partially repainted it and added a new seal. I have a clean Oregon title in my name. This Porsche 914 is located in Portland OR 97217. Potential buyers are encouraged to see the car in person. This car is sold as is, no warranty, please bid accordingly. I’m an honest Ebay seller, specializing in Porsche cars and parts with 100% positive feedback.
