He has owned it for many years and everyone from up around our part of Southern IN. will recognize this car. He has been going back and forth about selling the car lately. He usually just drives it with his daughter to car shows but now that she is older, he is ready to let it go. 1957 Chevy Gasser (STREET DRIVEN/DRAG CAR) Car has been a drag car since the 1960's out of KY. originally. Car had old school ghost flames on it way back in the day BUT... for some reason the owner covered them with cheap black spray paint years ago because he hated them. After getting really curious about the flames, I started scrubbing the black paint off with paint thinner and 0000 steel wool and the flames look FANTASTIC! I only did the drivers fender and door so far. You may want to keep going with it or you may want to paint over them again. Up to you. Was a 572 Big block with 871 Blower and a 4-speed. 4-speed pedal assembly still in tact and could be used again. All '57 from the firewall back. All real glass windows, steel doors. Glass (sturdy built) tilt front end Boxed '57 frame with Mustang II front disc brake suspension '57 rear end with 31 spline axles and wheelie bars Rebuilt 350 (Stock bore) with chrome rings, forged pistons and rods, Lunati cam (solid lift) 350 Turbo with shift kit. New M/T Pro rear tires TOO MUCH TO SAY about this car. Reliable street car that runs cool!! Clear Indiana title in hand.
