1999 Volkswagen Beetle 146,000 miles - no reserve Five speed manual. Black interior. Radio/CD player. WA plates, with tabs good thru Apr 2017 Plate: AKD4619 VIN: 3VWCA21C9XM418298 Located in Los Angeles, CA ***Please READ the entire description, and VIEW all pictures before bidding*** THE GOOD: Has been a daily driver until now. Starts every time, idles smooth, runs smooth on the freeway (no pulling/wobbles). All 5 gears & reverse can be selected without trouble (sometimes first, from a stop, takes a couple attempts). No rips in the upholstery (some wear/thinning on driver's side from climbing in/out). Headliner intact. Has spare, and original jack.AC and heater work great. Clear Title. (Wife and I have owned the car since 2003--a couple years ago we transferred the title to my father in-law when we moved to CA, to avoid some DMV hoops. That title is now in our hands, signed, and ready to go.) THE ISSUES: ABS is bad (light is on) and the pedal occasionally pulses when applying brakes. Both windows don't work--driver's is propped up inside the door panel--passenger's is taped, but slowly falls.Exhaust leak. (this is still registered in WA, unlikely it will pass smog in CA without some work.) Lately, it's started to leak coolant--not sure of the source, but the light comes on now once a week or so, and needs topping off. Engine light on. Uses a little oil, has done this for years at about same rate--keep an eye on it each month or two. A couple small plastic interior pieces/panels have popped off over the years. (I saved them for you!) Some dings and scratches (worst is drivers rocker panel, which is dented along its length--and a long scratch on passenger door).No hub caps.___ I took some time to write up this description as accurately as I could--CAR SOLD "AS-IS", WITH NO WARRANTY.
