1947 Triumph 5T

Rebuilt, Rebuildable & Reconstructed

This is a 47 5T that is about 85% complete but needs assembly and the addition of the missing parts to make a beautiful example of British motorcycle heritage. i was restoring it as a museum piece so some work will still need to be done to make it a runner. The engine has new main bearings and pistons but the barrels will need honing and the head will need to be restored and any other parts missed as a result of not building a runner. Internals are complete though. Tank is very nicely restored and chromed with all instruments. All sheet metal is re painted. Tool box and Oil tank have been done. It even has the original grab rails for the pillion which is rare as they are the first to go missing, original Lucas Altette horn - not a reproduction. The wheels are re-chromed and have the Amaranth red stripe but will need to be replaced if you want a runner as they were not completely round. Hubs are done but needs spokes to re lace. New clutch plates, silencers and exhaust pipes. this will make a really beautiful bike when complete. i don't have the time any more. Note; this is a bike made up from parts collected over many years.. the numbers do not match and there is no title. I have many more photos if you require them.
