Up for Auction is my 1972 CT70H Model Ct 70. Yes! It is the 4-speed! Manual Clutch! The 4-speed was only offered in 1970, 71,72. This bike has been in the shed for many years. Just about everything is there. The VIN and the engine number are not exact matches, but Honda did not match engines and VIN's. An original engine is on that is considered "close". I have no reason to think that this engine is not the original to the frame because of the number proximity. This is the second 1972 I have owned, but the other was the automatic. I restored that bike and sold it to an auto dealer in Houston, Texas. I have rebuilt and restored 6 of these Honda CT's and this one would be a great one to start. All of the parts are there except for the rear taillight, seat, battery, ignition switch. That being said, this bike will need a full restoration. The engine does not turn over but it is all there and it will also need a full wiring harness. The nice thing is that these bikes are a snap to work on, an easy engine to rebuild and all of the parts are reproduced or still available through Honda, from engine bearings to original nuts and bolts. I also have an additional engine guard, an aftermarket 1972 exhaust and 1970 exhaust to go with it. Those are in the pictures as well. The engine guard is slightly bent, the 70 exhaust is used, complete, and serviceable in my opinion. The aftermarket exhaust is in the other shop and I will get pictures of it tomorrow. It is one of the Chinese knock-offs. I am sure it will work, I just never had it mounted on a bike. It will take some work, but with the 4-speed being so rare, this may be the one you have been looking for to start that project! Please email me with any questions. I will be able to answer them.
