Automatic We at Midnite Motor Classics in Margate, Florida are proud to present this 1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible This 1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible is in excellent condition inside and out. It has had just one previous owner, and it has just 64,933 original miles on it. The Carfax report is clean, showing no accident history and accurate mileage. It does not run, and we are selling this as a non-running vehicle, and AS IS. The Timing chain tensioner on the right side has failed, causing the valves to bend on the right side cylinder head. The left side has been checked - the chains are good and the compression is good. The motor was disassembled by a Jaguar repair shop, and all original parts for reassembly are in the trunk of the car. Before the engine failure, the transmission shifted as it should, the A/C was cold, and the top worked perfectly. Because of its history and condition, this XK8 is an excellent candidate for repair, and well worth the time and effort for someone who can repair the car. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. If this car is fully repaired, NADA says that it is worth over $8600 retail. We've been selling cars on eBay for 14 years. We know it is not rare for low mileage, very nice cars with a clean history to surpass retail pricing. For someone with the time and resources available to repair this car, this looks to be a real money maker (or a extra nice Jag to drive around in). Steve: 954-648-0582 The physical condition of this XK is truly remarkable for a 1997 model year car. The paint shines all around, and there are no notable dents or dings. The top is in outstanding condition and works perfectly. The interior is amazing - no holes or tears in the seats, no odors, no stains, and the wood trim looks fantastic. Even the cup holder and ash tray lid work!! (if you know this generation Jaguar, you know what we mean) The boot for the top, the books, 2 keys and 1 remote fob are with the car. As we are located In Florida, we are required to title a vehicle "Exempt" in miles if the car is 10 years or older. The miles listed is the actual reading from the cars odometer. We do not reveal reserve price amounts, so please don't ask. We prefer to see all auctions through to the end in order to get the best price for a vehicle. We are a dealer however, and all vehicles are for sale to the public. We therefore reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early if the vehicle is sold. We reserve the right to cancel bids from those with excessive or net negative feed back. Payment and Fees We will add a $249 dealer prep charge to the final bid price. This is to cover the cost of vehicle cleaning, phone calls, Fed-Exing of packages and other document handling costs. If a vehicle is not picked up within 10 days of the auction close, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable storage fee. You may pay the purchase price in cash, with a cashiers or certified check or wire transfer. We do not accept credit cards for full purchase price. If you are the winner, a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is picked up (Paypal will be accepted for the $500 deposit only) . If these forms of payment are not acceptable, please do not bid. Final payment is expected within five (5) days thereafter. If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay applicable sales tax and registration fees. If you are not a Florida resident, you will be required to register the vehicle in your home state at your own cost, including registration fees, inspection fees and sales taxes applicable to your state.
