This is no reserve auction. Whoever is the highest bidder wins this bike. 1971 Honda CT70. Trail 70. Candy Gold. 3-speed automatic clutch transmission. All parts are the original equipment as far as I can tell. The tool kit and the rubber battery strap are missing. The bike rolls smooth and straight. The cranks shaft turns when kicked. There is compression. There is oil in the crankcase. I do not know if it will run. The brakes work. The shocks work the way they were intended to. I do not know if it has spark. The tires hold air. The battery is dead. The seat sheet metal pan is damaged (cracked) near the rear end of the seat from being used to lift the bike.There are no dents in the frame, fenders or other sheet metal parts. This would be a good candidate for restoration. The bike has been stored inside an outdoor metal garden shed for the past thirty years. Since the shed was not insulated, it did not prevent the bike from rusting. There is some/slight rust on the chrome parts with minor pitting. The shed did provide protection to the rubber, plastic and vinyl components from UV rays. The decals have some scratches. The paint has some scratches. The chrome engine guard has the most rusting. The bike comes with a California Certificate of Title which means that I will need to provide to the CA DMV a Notice of Release of Liability. So the buyer needs to be present and provide their true full name and address when the bike is picked up. The sale will be final and have no warranty.
