If you like the Triumph Tiger Explorer, but you want it with an even tougher character then you should take a closer look at the XC version. The bike is fitted with wire-spoke wheels that measure 17 inches diameter at the rear and 19 inches at the front, and are wrapped in tubeless tires. The Triumph Tiger Explorer XC is built on a stiff tubular steel trellis frame which is perfectly suited for the tough requirements of off road riding. The frame is wrapped around a 1215 cc, liquid cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line three cylinder engine which sends its power to the ground through a six speed transmission with wet, multi-plate clutch. The engine is fed by a 5.3 Gallon fuel tank and delivers a maximum output of 137 PS at 9300 rpm and 121 NM of torque at 6400 rpm. With a whole pack of extras and neat touches the Tiger Explorer XC has an extra rugged style. All its basics have been thoroughly proven on the Tiger Explorer. Like the 1215cc three-cylinder engine with its broad spread of torque, shaft drive, the long fuel range. Then there’s the class-leading handling and the genuine off-road ability. You still get the high levels of sophisticated rider aids too, like switchable ABS, traction control and cruise control. On top of all this you get unique spocked wheels for added off-road capability and other equipment such as a sump guard, fog lights, and hand guards to add to your adventure. Like the Explorer, the Tiger Explorer XC gets Triumph big, proven 1215cc three-cylinder engine.
