Up for auction is a unique, ONE-OF-A-KIND 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse. There is a story behind this car that is almost too hard to believe. My Father bought this car back in 2011 - when he was 81 years old! Said he wanted a little sports car to drive. And he bought this car. Really Dad? No one in the family really agreed with the purchase of this car, but what are you going to do? In the 5 years since he purchased it, it's been driven probably a couple dozen times. The last time he drove it, about 3/4 of a year ago, he caused some minor body damage to the area behind the passenger side front tire (see listing picture). Over the next few following months, he finally agreed to allow it to be sold. 201,517 miles. The car is located in the Tell City, Indiana area. About 90 minutes from Louisville, an hour from Evansville, 3 hours from Nashville, and about 3 hours from Indianapolis. Owensboro KY & Elizabethtown KY are about an hour away, Bowling Green KY is about 1 1/2 hours. I drove this car last weekend and it drives fine. Five-speed manual transmission, and it shifts easy, clutch is good, it handles very nicely, hugs the road and corners well. It was a fun drive. I took it on the highway, and it cruised very easily at 65, didn't seem to be pushing it or straining at all. Electric sunroof is great and works fine. Heater/air conditioner/fan all work fine. All turn signals and brake lights work, except for the passenger side front turn signal. As you can see in the listing picture, it has no stereo, so the buyer can choose what type of stereo system that they want. There are 4 speakers not installed that are included in this listing - 2 of them are generic Chrysler brand speakers, but two of them are the very high quality Rockford-Fosgate speakers. Of the 5 after-market gauges installed in this car (see listing pictures), only the left bottom one works. All fluid levels have recently been checked and are where they should be, and it doesn't appear to be leaking any fluids at all. I have shown the damage behind the passenger side front wheel in the listing picture, slight damage to the passenger side front corner, and a small scuff by the gas cap opening, and some scuffing of the passenger front wheel from curbing it. This car is a little rough, mainly due to lack of use, but has a great amount of potential. It just needs the right person to want it, and to invest some time & money into it. EXTERIOR: As you can see in the listing pictures, it is a bright green color. No way to miss this car on the road! You will be driving a one-of-a-kind car! There is a custom trim along the bottom of the vehicle on both the driver side and passenger side, with a black and white flame-like design, with gold trim at the top of it. On the driver side, there is also gold trim encompassing the entire driver side windows area, but this gold trim is not present on the passenger side (see listing pictures). There is a huge spoiler on the back, silver in color, so large that it looks like it should pull in ESPN, HBO, etc. Very SHARP 18 inch gold spoke wheels (sorry but I do not know the brand) with green wheel caps. INTERIOR: The inside of this car is much harder to describe. Please check out all of the listing pictures. Manual transmission, lots of gauges, a young motorhead's dream! There is some damage to the interior housing of the drivers side mirror, but it still works. Most of the interior is a charcoal gray-ish color, but some green too. The seats are all in very good condition, no rips, tears, etc. Speakers have a flame design covering. ENGINE: Engine is in good condition, and the car has a great sound to it. Buyer can pick the car up at their convenience near Tell City IN. Neither of my parents are able to drive this car, so it will need to be picked up at their residence. $500 is due within 48 hours of auction closing, and balance is due within 5 days.
