Vehicle Detail

For fastest response, call or text me at 316-250-8498 From the factory, this 1970 Plymouth GTX had FE5 (red) body paint, red (FE5) painted top, white longitudinal body stripe, and black vinyl bucket seats. It was originally equipped with the 375hp big block 440/4bbl and 727 automatic transmission. The original engine is long gone and was replaced at some point by a big block 400; I have not tried to start the car. The 727 auto transmission, driveshaft, and differential (single track with unknown gears) are still in the car. The front and rear seats are in pretty good shape for the age but could use recovered. The 150mph speedometer cluster is present; the cluster lens is off but is in the car/included. The car is a relatively complete project that is structurally quite solid. The front frame rails and torsion bar cross member are super solid. The rear frame rails are solid too-probably due to the fact that it was undercoated. I scraped away some of the undercoating for pictures and I stabbed all along the rear frame rails with a screwdriver to make sure they were solid. The floor pans could get by with some patch panels (see pictures) and the trunk floor will need patched or replaced. Instead of working dents out a previous owner just filled dents and screwed some galvanized steel patch strips to the bottom of the quarter panels; the quarter panels could be patched but would be better off to be replaced. The rear window channel will need rust repair. The car was in a fender bender which creased the driver’s side fender and damaged the grille. The grille and surrounding stainless trim is all present and could be epoxied/repaired/straightened. I have most of the stainless rear window trim (see pictures of miscellaneous trim on the hood) but one of the “S” shaped lower trim pieces is missing. Other pieces that are missing are the rear window, radiator, windshield wiper motor, exhaust manifolds, cabin carpet, air filter assembly, and possibly other pieces. The car will have different wheels/tires as I used wheels/tires from my other cars to get the GTX moved around the day of the pictures. I have a clean/clear Kansas title in my name. Car must be paid for with cash and picked up within 2 weeks of the auction's end. If you have any questions, email or call/text me at 316-250-8498
