Vehicle Detail
I am the son of the original owner and the car has been kept in perfect shape until this accident on 2/1/2016, which was unreported, so the title is clean. The car still runs and I have been using it sparingly since. It is currently parked in an open maroon warehouse by 840 NW Naito Pkwy, Portland, Oregon, so feel free to take a look; I can even arrange a test drive. My dad bought this car new in 1997 and I bought it from him in 2003. It had all of the options from heated seats and steering wheel, to navigation. It was the first year that navigation was an option in the 7-series and my dad was one of the few people who opted to get it; this is one of the oldest stock navigation systems you will find, including more recently updated disks. Due to the TV screen, there's even a stock input jack for an MP3 player, which was originally intended for a VCR. Since I hate broken things, I fixed anything that ever went wrong so EVERYTHING WORKS and still does. Unfortunately, on 2/1/2016, I rear ended someone on the Sunset Highway - my first ever accident. The car still runs but as you can see from the pictures, it's a cosmetic mess. The cooling fan was crunched so if you drive in heavy traffic, it is important to keep an eye on the engine temperature and pull over if the car risks overheating. I also recommend giving the car a few minutes to warm up; otherwise, due to the accident, it doesn’t respond to well to accelerating. The car has been garaged or stored under cover for its entire life. No one has ever smoked and young children have never ridden regularly in the car. People had increasingly been complimenting me on what great condition it was in, at least until the collision. Every year I got it detailed and had all the dings removed. I just don't have the time to fix it and have decided that it's time to move on to something new. All servicing has been done at Pacific Motor Sports in Portland and they have all the records going back 10 years. CONDITION: It was in almost perfect condition until I rear ended someone on 2/1/2016. It still runs but here are the things that went wrong as a result of the accident:* The car accelerates normally if it's been warmed up for a few minutes before driving.* The cooling fan got crunched so the car will overheat if driven for more than about 15 minutes in heavy traffic.* The rear window on the driver's side makes a crunching noise when going up or down.
