This is a great car. Fun to drive but with great gas mileage. The XRS line was a variant where Toyota put a Celica engine in a Corolla body. The six speed manual gives lots of control, pickup when you want it, and efficiency as well. Drives like a normal sedan most of the time, but if you get the RPMs up the VVTL-i kicks in and you get lots of acceleration. I average 25-30 MPG. The car is mechanically in very good shape. The only trouble is the battery is slightly overcharged so you get a warning light but has no effect on function. So why so cheap? Well, following an accident the insurance adjuster incorrectly totaled the car (they wanted to replace the entire airbag computer instead of just the broken bracket holding it). I took the car as salvage and got it repaired, re-inspected, re-titled, and have kept driving it for another 6 years. So the car isn't worth much on paper, but looks, drives, and performs like the excellent shape it is actually in. I am moving out of the country, and need to sell the car. This is a chance to get a solid, fun, great Toyota for a fraction of the book value! I have owned this car since it had 42 miles on the odometer, I know its full history, it is gotten all its maintenance. No reasonable offer refused.
