This is a very rare chance to get an almost totally original 66 GTO with matching numbers. I have a BRAND NEW CLEAR NC TITLE IN MY NAME. Try to find another one at this price and this complete. This car needs and deserves to be restored, and I am just unable to do it. This car must be sold and this may be your last chance to buy an inexpensive GTO project car. You will not find a better qualified car to restore at this price. This GTO was sitting in a field for about 30 years. It is completely unmolested and almost untouched. No Bondo, no welding or patches-all original GM sheet metal. The bottom of the quarter and rocker panels and doors will need to be patched, but not replaced. Frame is in good solid condition with NO rust through. The matching number engine will need to be overhauled-not running now. It does not appear to be seized. Needs new floor pans. Trunk lid will need to be repaired-one of the hinges has a broken bolt. Trunk pan will need a patch. All the dashboard dials work, including radio. Door cards are decent and can be improved with TLC. Check the pictures-you have matching numbers on the original 389 engine! Doors close and fit well, as does hood. All 4 windows crank up and down. Seats can easily be restored. Mirrors are original and intact. Grill, headlights and trim are all in good shape, along with rear lights. All the original GTO badges are on the car, including those on the door cards. Intakes have been replaced and tri-power carbs are missing. Sorry no keys. The 1966 GTO is one of the most valuable cars when restored, going into 6 figures. This car is in King NC in my name with a clear NC Title. However, I recently moved to Tampa, and will transact the deal from here. The title is with the car.
