* 1996 FORD F-150 XLT Supercab 2WD * * ONLY 59K Actual Miles!! * * All Original! * * Rare To Find In This Condition! * Before you and up for bid is my 1996 FORD F-150 XLT Supercab pick up. My description will be thorough, so as to provide a clear, full & accurate representation of the truck. The history & particulars of this last of the 9th generation, and arguably best year for the F-150 truck series is as follows: * One senior owned California truck purchased new. Upon his passing last year at age 94, the truck was bequeathed to his 71 year old son. * A garaged & pampered non-smoker, no pets truck in near mint condition. * CARFAX certified (in hand) NO accident, mileage, and ownership history. * GUARANTEED to have ZERO RUST! As a California truck, it was never exposed to winter corrosives. (salt, magnesium chloride, etc.) (see pic) * ONLY 59,144 actual miles! 4000 of which were just recorded driving it to Colorado and then back down to Florida. It drove flawlessly & effortlessly the entire trip. This trip entailed my going to my primary residence, and returning with a 2K lb. trailer.The truck had never previously been used to tow with. I know this, for there were no drill holes in the frame or any hitch marking signs. I purchased a new REESE hitch for the trip, it will remain with the truck. The FORD factory connector (7 pin) is present and functional. * 302 CI Fuel Injected V8, starts first turn of the key, holds a smooth idle, and drives beautiful. There are NO annoying drips or leaks anywhere. * Automatic transmission, shifts smoothly through all upshifts as well as reverse. * XLT package consists of power windows, power locks, cruise control * Full deep pile carpeting throughout the cab, in beautiful condition. * Leather wrapped steering wheel in perfect condition, no scuffs, wear or nicks. * ICE COLD AC * Factory FORD AM/FM/Cassette stereo, plays fine * All guages are fully operational and accurate * Dual fuel tanks, 29 total (12 front, 17 rear) on the recent trip, the truck returned approximately 420 miles per dual fill up. * Tilt steering wheel * Perfect dash, NO cracks or warping as it was always covered with a DASHTOPPER protective cover. * The interior is in MINT condition! I would rate it a 9.9 out of 10! The upholstery is in perfect condition, as the seats were always covered. The rear seat was never sat upon. * Excellent door & rear panels * Excellent center armrest/console * Perfect headliner and sun visors * EVERY convenience and safety features is fully operational. * Nothing is broken or cracked, all buttons, knobs, and stalks are present * All original glass throughout. A small chip, approximate in size to a pencil eraser, is located 2" above bottom center, it has been resin repaired, and is entirely out of ones vision field. * The windows go up and down smoothly, the vent windows open and close properly. * All gaskets & weather stripping are soft and pliable * Power steering, power disc (ABS) brakes * Dual airbags * The original tires were replaced in the last year with 4 GOODYEAR's. They have approximately 80% of tread wear remaining. The original spare has never been on the ground. The jack and tire tool are in their under hood provision. * Factory FORD chrome wheels...beautiful, sparkling finish * Excellent bumpers, beautiful chrome, NO pits or discoloration * Beautiful grill, bright clear headlights * SNUGTOP custom camper shell ($1500) it it carpet lined inside, has dual sliding screened windows, is lockable, and in excellent condition. It was not drill mounted to the bed. * Factory FORD bed liner since new, it saw little use, and is in excellent condition * Beautiful 100% factory original paint scheme, the exterior colors are a two tone combination of Oxford White & Light Saddle. Notwithstanding a couple of minor scratches, the finish is amazing, please observe the reflections in the pictures. * Original FORD floor mats in new condition, as they were always towel covered. * All original keys with both remotes, original owners manuals, supplemental operational pamphlets, and original dealer sales brochure will accompany the sale. * Recent service consisting of all fresh fluids, (oil, transmission, coolant, brake, power steering & rear differential) new filters, hoses, serpentine belt, rotors and battery * Immaculate engine compartment and undercarriage. The undercarriage photo is indicative of the entire undercarriage of the truck. * At 20 years of age, the F-150 is in remarkable condition throughout! It looks, runs and drives great! It is a testament to the conscientious care it has received. There are no excuses or compromises. * The truck is tight, there are NO shudders, shimmy's or shakes.
