Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevy Camaro L30327/275hp, 4 speed, 12 bolt rearOne family owned, In storage since 1993NO RESERVE!!! Please don't bid if you have no intentions of buying. First time buyer did not want the car once I found out it did not have original short block, That makes sense. Second listing I get a $500 deposit for the car and end the auction early. The buyer wasted my time for three weeks and then tells me he can't sell his truck so he can't buy it. Third listing ends up a 0 feedback bidder with no contact at all. This is getting old so I will be cancelling all bids from anybody with 0 feedback. I will be emailing anyone with less than 50 feedback's to verify that they are real. These listings just waste time and money when the buyer does not come through. Thanks for looking. Up for auction is a 1968 Camaro L30. Most people don't know what an L30 Camaro even is. I didn't know until I got this car. Here is a link to a good site full of information about these rare Camaros. There were about 11,000 of these L30 Camaros made between 1967-1968. camaros.org/l30m20 This car was purchased new in late 1968. The original owners daughter purchased the car in 1974. The car was daily driven until 1993 where it was parked in the garage until got it about two years ago. This Camaro has 103k original miles and still retains 70% of it's original paint. The body of the car is original except for the rear quarter panels and outer wheelhouses. The quarters were replaced with GM originals in the early 80's and they are still very solid. The rest of the body(except rear spoiler) is original. This Camaro will need new fenders and doors due to rust but that's about it. The trunk is solid but does have surface rust. The floors are pretty nice except for the passenger front floor has a hole in it where your feet go. The front and rear frames are in great shape. The motor, Trans and rear are all work very well. The motor was originally a 327/275hp V8. The current engine is a 1974 "CMJ" coded 350 police engine with the original top end off of the 327 on it. It runs well with no knocks or smoke. The carburetor is a little grumpy in the morning but once it starts up and warms up it runs very well. The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the clutch works well. The rear is a 12 bolt rear. It feels like 3.08 gears and it is a non posi and it works as it should. The car is equipped with manual drum brakes and manual steering. The interior is original and will need a general restoration including headliner, carpet, Seat covers etc. The car drives down the road well, I drove it home about 50 miles. It will need tires, Shocks, Brake work etc. since it has been sitting for the last 23 years. If you are looking for a Camaro project that is complete and has no hidden surprises this is a good start. I personally would do some maintenance on it, Clean it up and drive it the way it is. I have owned this car for about two years and I realize that I will not get to it anytime soon so I will let someone else have the fun and return this rare Camaro to her former Glory. Please email or call 610-442-2503 with any questions you may have. Remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so bid to win. Thanks for looking and good luck.
