I bought this car in 2008 a brand new 2007 Fastback GTI. I have the cool little Fast character that came with GTIs back then. Effing loved this car. Fully loaded GTI automatic. I'm the sole owner. Leather seats, cold weather package. 18" wheels. Three-year-old, all-weather Goodyear Eagle tires. Low miles and Monster Mats. It burned through oil as many of these VW turbos do, but eventually that was it's downfall. A new engine and turbo was recommended and I'm not a car guy nor am I someone who has time to find the right used motor and turbo. The price of a new one was too much for me to justify. So I'm selling it to one of you motor heads out there. The engine is dismantled so you can see what you're getting. You can clearly see the valve that blew. The misfire happened in cylinder 3. The turbo was problematic as well as it was pulling in oil (they suspect) and caused the carbon buildup you can see clearly in the photos. Other things worth noting: - There is a rust patch on the drivers side lower panel behind the door. - The lowering kit isn't perfect as seen in photos - The wheels have some scratches - I have all the maintenance records and can supply - If there are specific photos you'd like, let me know - Paint isn't perfect -- good for a 9-year-old car If you're interested: You are buying this car AS-IS. Understand that I'm not a mechanic and I'm describing the car's condition to the best of my ability as the owner, but mechanically I'm describing it as it has been described to me through the dealership that diagnosed the engine and valve and turbo problems.
