TRULY 1 OF A KIND. 1953 TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD "BLACKBIRD" RECREATION Built IN 2003 by .James "Jimmy" Whitlock of Texas (owner of W&W Triumph in Houston) who was a Triumph dealer / collector for over 40 years. Jimmy is pictured here with Steve McQueen when he loaned Steve a bike to ride while he was in Texas filming "The Sand Pebbles". Original 1953 parts including: petrol tank and hardware, fenders, forks, tool box, bars, license plate mount, rear wheel prop and many other bits to make it a spot on match. Cool vintage TRI-COR "heel \ toe" shifter 1963 front frame cradle mated to 1953 (original rigid) rear tail section (SEE PICS) Numbers matching 1963 unit engine/frame with iron head. Titled / Licensed to me as a: 1963 Triumph Tiger VIN #: DU1998 This motorcycle runs and rides EXCELLENT! Been on display, won numerous awards and ridden fairly regularly. Replica "Wild One" Trophy is included in sale.
