Vehicle Detail
1968 C-20 327 small block, long bed. 50th anniversary paint package. This truck was bought new by my wife's grandparents in '68. They retired to Colusa, CA and used it to tow their fishing boat to the Sacramento river for many years and just used the covered bed to store their fishing gear. Grandma stopped driving the truck in the late 1990s and it remained, untouched, until my wife inherited it a couple of years ago. Would love to restore it, but don't have the space or time......hoping it goes to someone looking for a restoration project. Approximately 117k original miles. Original 327 V8, chrome front bumper and wood bed. Body appears to be straight and free of dents with the exception of a small crease in the rear fender, There is rust on the drivers side and passenger side running boards and some light rust in other areas Truck is being stored about 100 miles from where I live and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the wood bed. I can say the bed is most likely in extremely good condition, as it has been under a camper shell it's entire life and covered by a rubber mat. The camper shell and mats where put on when the truck was new, so I doubt the bed has barely been exposed to sun. Truck is complete and has all parts. Couldn't wash it where it is stored, so you are looking at 20 years of built up dirt. Also just found the Chevrolet service receipts from 1969-1971 in some of Grandma's old papers I can send to the winner. Truck was serviced at Dave Simms Chevrolet in Carpinteria, CA. One of the receipts is for the installation of Delco Pleasur-Lift shocks on 4/3/1969. Owners guide for the shocks was found as well.
