Up for auction is my 1968 Mustang that I purchased in Texas and have owned for 8 years. I do not have the time or money to fix it up the way I want and I have too many projects as it is and my wife would LOVE to have the driveway space back, so my loss is your gain. This is a 48 year old car and is not perfect by any means. It has the original 289 which is a very strong running car, I recently put in a whole new fuel system, carburetor, fuel pump, all new fuel lines and fuel tank. If I can find the original carburetor it will go with the car. Since it is a new carburetor it will need to be adjusted, right now I can`t keep it running, it keeps on bogging down on me. The seats are in great shape as is the headliner, the carpet has dark spots and the dash trim is missing some of the plastic pieces. I recently put in a new hood latch but it needs to be adjusted. It has a turn signal hood and the trunk lid has rust and probably should be replaced. It has the usual bad spots on the body as seen in the pictures like the rear wheel wells and rocker area. It also has the normal dings and small dents all over, remember it is 48 years old. Interior needs work in the dash area but the rest of the interior is good. The transmission shifts as it should and I have never had an issue. About 3 years ago I installed a new axle. It has minor power steering issue in that the actuator needs to be rebuilt ( I am including the rebuild kit in the sale ) It is a very simple procedure and it will take the play out of the steering, the rest of the front end is in good shape. It also has a Grant GT steering wheel. It is a 4 wheel drum brake car, I would suggest a front disc brake conversion. In the pictures the grill is missing, it is included in the sale with other stainless trim, The grill has been removed to replace the hood latch, while it was removed it was cleaned and repainted and it is intact.This car also has an awesome sound system, 2 10" subwoofers in a box with an amplifier screwed onto the box in the trunk, the box got wet and looks bad but still works, I put new weatherstripping around the trunk. I have 2-6x9 speakers in the rear window that work great, it has a removable face CD player but I have to find the face for it, if not you can just replace the head unit yourself, when I replaced the fuel tank I disconnected the stereo at the box, it will need to be reconnected. the wires are marked for convenience. Also with the sale are the original Blue valve covers and air cleaner. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me and I will do my best to answer them for you.
