Up for sale: All original, unmolested, untouched, pristine 1997 4x4 Texas owned Lexus LX450/FJ80. This truck is turn-key and needs nothing. -The Story and adventure: I love this truck. A lot. I bought this FJ80 from the second owner in Texas as a weekend adventure mobile. I drove it from Texas, through Colorado and Utah then to Georgia over two weeks camping across the country. Once home, I put new 33" 285/75/16 BFG All-Terrain TKOs (with FULL SIZE SPARE) on her immediately. I spent the last year mechanically getting her perfect and ready for the next adventure. I recently sold my business, and have traveled the Southeast - all in this white, badass 4x4. FJ80. Lexus has reupholstered the vehicle, as the FJ80 leather wears poorly. Seat covers were installed during my travels to protect leather, I installed Weather Tech all-weather mats, and I washed her/changed the oil in every state. Yes, I'm a bit meticulous. Check the pics out - it explains her capability and reliability. No issues the entire time - with the exception of a starter and alternator, which were replaced immediately. *NO mudding or rock crawling EVER in this truck. NO rust on underbody. It's only seen snow once! All original OEM Toyota/Lexus parts all around. -Why I am selling: Did I mention I have had over six Land Cruisers? Currently, I have two. Plus my daily driver Ford Truck. Plus a vintage G Wagon. TOO MANY VEHICLES. On this last adventure, I snagged another FJ so I need to make room. I'd jump in this Lexus and drive her across country in a heartbeat. -But I see other FJ80s for less: You're dang right you do. Those trucks are not on the same level as this one. I don't have to sell this truck, but the right person who understands what this vehicle is about, how hard is it to find in this condition, and the amount of money and effort it takes to get a 20-year-old one perfect is who I'm looking for. You will spend at least 10k getting one of these trucks in reliable condition if you buy a normal used one. Trust me on this. This one has been gone over with a fine-toothed comb. Don't forget - this one has FRONT AND REAR LOCKING HUBS! -What work has been done in the last year: 1. AC, alternator, battery, starter, all drive and steering belts, head gasket with hose replacement, injector rebuild, constant load front + rear coil springs (all four wheels), fuel sending unit, brakes, wheel center caps 2.New BFG TKO All-Terrain 33" 285/75/16 with FULL SIZE SPARE 3. Major Tune-up: Dist. cap, rotor, spark plug and wires. starter, throttle body, window washer motor/pump, windshield wipers, rear hatch and hood struts replaced, transmission flush and replace fluid, new air filter, new battery, hood cushion bumper, all pedal pads replaced 4. Heater hose replacement, rear axle seal replacement and bearings packed, coolant recharged (blows cold), transfer case fluid changed. rear and front dif fluid changed, -Notes: 1. Interior is immaculate - cd change in console works intermittently - a new factory Lexus changer is included in sale -dash and seats have had covers over leather since new leather installed -smells like it just left the show room. Love this. -jump seats in third row have never been sat in 2. Exterior is pristine -paint is shiny, waxed often -all emblems intact 3.
