Vehicle Detail
* 1986 FORD F-250 4X4 STANDARD PICKUP * * ONLY 9421 ACTUAL MILES!! * * ALL ORIGINAL!! * * IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!! * Before you and up for bid is my 1986 FORD F-250 4X4 Standard Pickup. The history and particulars of the truck are as follows: This F-250 is as close to new as you are likely to find. In ALL regards, it is entirely as one would expect from a 9400 mile truck! * One family owned, non-smoker, no pets use, Colorado truck purchased new from O'Meara FORD in Brighton, CO. on 11/16/85. * A utility ranch purpose truck, never intended as a daily driver. Upon the passing of the owner last spring, the truck was bequeathed to an out of state family member. That member did not have any use for the truck, and I subsequently purchased it from him. * ONLY 9421 ACTUAL MILES since new! YES, you read that correctly!! I personally just put 2K of these miles on the truck driving it from Colorado to Florida. It ran flawlessly. * NEVER wrecked or bent in any manner. CARFAX Certified in hand GUARANTEED NO ACCIDENT history and ownership. * Guaranteed to have ZERO RUST! Doesn't have it, never did! Never exposed to salt, mag chloride or ANY winter corrosives. * Other than items that necessitated replacement given to time, the truck is ALL ORIGINAL! * The F-250 has just undergone a 3 month complete repaint in the original FORD factory correct paint code 9N (Desert Tan Metallic). This consisted of 4 base coats and 4 clear coats. The entire paint process is photo documented, it was done thoroughly and properly. All trim, gaskets, grill, lights, mirrors, bumpers, emblems and glass were removed. The bed was removed. The tailgate was removed from the bed. The truck was completely sanded down to bare metal. One might ask, why would a 7K mile (at time of repaint) truck necessitate repainting? The answer is that while the truck had only been driven 7K miles, the factory paint was 31 model years old, and as such subjected to 31 years of ranch use elements, and therefore faded. The new finish is amazing and while not flawless, I believe it to far exceed the factory paint application of 1985. The cost was just under $5K. * Ordered with a 7.5 liter, 460 CI V8. There are absolutely NO annoying drips or leaks anywhere. * Automatic transmission (C6), shifts smoothly throughout all upshifts and reverse. * Factory AC, ICE COLD! (not retrofitted) * Excellent heat and defrost * Power steering, power brakes * 4X4, HI and LOW Range, manual lockout hubs, point it where you want to climb. * FORD AM factory radio, plays fine. * Saddle colored vinyl interior, as new. * The interior is a 9.9 out of 10! The only flaw is a small crack on the dash pad at the speaker placement. The dash has a full DASHMAT protector. The seat was always covered and shows no wear. The rubber floor was covered and shows no wear. Excellent door panels. Excellent headliner and kick panels. Bright clear instrument panel with fully functioning gauges. Excellent steering wheel. Excellent sun visors. Excellent seat belts. * All comfort and safety features are fully operational. * All buttons, knobs and stalks are present. * All gaskets, window brushes and weather stripping are soft and pliable * All glass with the exception of the windshield is factory original to the truck. * Both windows roll up & down smoothly. The vent windows open and close properly. * Sliding rear window, opens and closes properly * Front and rear fuel tanks, 12 & 19 gallons, respectively. Locking gas caps, one key for both. * Original bottle jack and tire tool in their under hood provisions. (never used) The FORD door tag indicates and breaks down as follows: DATE GVWR10/85 8600 EXT 76 (DENVER) 9N DSO WB TYPE BODY TRANS AXLE SPRING133 F-268 BK4 K C5 7K (F-250 4X4) (C6) FORD 10.25 LTD SLIP 4:10 * The truck has been entirely through from bumper to bumper. All fresh fluids, (transmission, oil, coolant, differentials, power steering system flush, brake system flush), all new filters, new GATES FOMOCO belts & hoses, wheel bearing inspect & repack, 4 wheel alignment. The original factory spark plugs were in the truck. * OPTIMA REDTOP Battery * Excellent chrome front bumper, steel rear bumper * Factory tow package, (7 pin connector) period correct in cab brake controller * 5 new SAVERO GT Radial 235/85-16" tires, replaced the originals. * I intended to put mid 1990's FORD 3/4 ton aluminum factory wheels on the truck to enhance its appearance. Unfortunately, I discovered that the offset is 8 x 165 on this truck, and the FORD wheels from the 90's are 8 x 170. The current wheels are the factory steel application with the original dog dish hubcaps. They are in excellent condition. (one has a small dent, however, I did source a FORD NOS replacement) Depending upon the intentions of the buyer, I could assist with having the wheels powder coated prior to the new owner taking delivery of the truck. * The bed has just been RHINO spray lined. The (4X4) emblems that display beneath the F-250 on each fender, have not been reinstalled. The aluminum has slight ripples. I have sourced a nice one thus far, and will source another for the buyer. All original keys, key tags, owners manual, miscellaneous pamphlets, and the dealer brochure will be included with the sale. The F-250 is in remarkable condition! It looks, starts, runs, drives and stops precisely as a 9421 mile truck should! The integrity of this truck is just as it was in 1986 when it was new. It's not that the F-250 is clean, it simply was never permitted to get dirty. This truck is in immaculate condition. The engine compartment shows beautifully. The undercarriage still presents with factory grease pencil marks throughout. You are bidding to purchase the F-250, not to be the first to look at it. You're buying the condition, the ownership, and the miles. Thank you. The truck and I are presently located in S.W. Florida. (Naples/Ft. Myers vicinity) Inspections are welcome and will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding. Please have your funding in place prior to placing your bid. Thank you. Please consult with your spouse, therapist, pet, or MAGIC 8-BALL prior to placing your bid, as I am not running a clinic for the confused. Thank you. Transportation and/or delivery is the sole responsibility of the buyer. This truck can easily be driven home safely to anywhere in America. If you choose to fly in and drive home, (great time of year) I will gladly pick you up from the S.W. International Airport in Ft. Myers, Fl. I can recommend a reputable shipper for you if needed. I will gladly assist to schedule/coordinate with your chosen shipper. A $1000.00 initial payment is due and payable within 24 hours of auction close VIA PayPal. NO EXCEPTIONS. The balance is to then be paid within 7 days thereafter, under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer. I prefer a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer, as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties. I will NOT accept PayPal for the entire purchase amount. Only the initial $1000.00 payment. The winning bidder is required to call me directly within 24 hours of auction close to discuss further arrangements. The truck and the title to the truck will not be released until payment in full has been received. Upon receipt of payment in full, I will overnight VIA FEDEX the documents, (title and bill of sale) to the new owner. If you are to fly in and drive home, I will offer the option of hand delivering these to you upon your arrival. Clear Colorado title in my name. I am not a dealer. I am a collector/hobbyist, and a legitimate seller simply seeking a legitimate buyer. I have set my reserve accordingly for the F-250. It is commensurate with the outstanding condition of the truck, the ownership history, and the amazingly low miles. Do not ask me what the reserve is, as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the exemplary condition 1986 FORD F-250 4x4 pickup truck that you see before you. In life, one gets what one pays for. If you want the best, you've earned it...step up and pay for it. I have included a buy it now for someone not wanting to run the risk of missing out on the truck. A truck in this condition is extremely rare in the collector truck market, and not easily replaced. The astute buyer knows that the best investment in the collector market is an original, low mileage example. If you are "new" to eBay, have 0% feedback, or excessive negative feedback, I require that you call me directly prior to placing your bid and express your intentions. If you do not call me prior, your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from further bidding. This is to preserve the integrity of the auction. Given the age of the F-250, by bidding you acknowledge your understanding that the truck is being sold in "as is" condition with no expressed, written or otherwise implied warranties. I do, however, as stated, guarantee that the truck does not now or has ever had, any rust. I guarantee that the miles are actual and true to the truck. eBay provides for only 24 pictures. I have selected pictures that best present a concise overview of the truck. If you would like any area specific pictures, simply request them. This F-250 will not last. If you would like to discuss "buying it now", call me and present your offer. DO NOT call and ask me, "what's the lowest that you'll take?" I desire to sell the truck, I do not, however, have to sell the truck. I answer my phone quicker than I respond to e-mail, call me directly with any questions. If you reach voice mail, leave a brief message and I will return your call promptly. Buyers from the U.S., Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand are welcome and encouraged to bid with confidence. This F-250 can be driven anywhere with pride of ownership, or utilized as a platform for whatever you imagine. Don't miss out...thanks for looking and good luck when you bid!
