Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1965 Pontiac GTO, 4 speed manual, 398 Tri Power, This is a real GTO as indicated by the VIN. I will list everything I know about the car both good and bad. The car was found in Virginia and restored in 2002. I have a book of pictures from the begining of restoration to completion. I have the build sheet on the car and the car was restored back to the original build sheet specs. The car has a 1966 389 Tri Power GTO engine. It does not have the original 1965 GTO engine. The car is Reef Turquoise color both exterior and interior. There is not a scratch or mark on the car anywhere. There is no bondo in the car and is verified by the restoration pictures. The car has red line tires with very little wear. The trunk and undercarriage is spotless. Rain has only touched this car once for a very short period since 2002. The car was garage kept and often hauled in a trailer to shows. The car runs magnificently, shifts smooth, sounds great. Dual exhaust. I have several of the original parts for the car that were not used. Starter, radio, hood, etc. The radio is currently not working and the windshield washer pump is currently not working. I hope to have both fixed this week. There is a very small crack in the middle of the dash. The car does NOT have disc brakes. It still has drum brakes. They work well. The car has GTO jack and spare tire in trunk. This is a console car with white knob shifter. The car comes with VIN code verification, build specs, Production figure sheets, PHS Automotive Services historic research letter, 1964 Pontiac News release story, original manual, original GTO brochure, and even the tiger tail for your tank! The car is in Georgia and I may consider delivery to a buyer in an adjacent state. The car was owned and restored by a family member who is very detailed, meticulous and honest. He built the car for himself, not to sell. He felt he was neglecting the car because he lost interest in going to shows as he grew older and interested in other things. This car is a quality car that can be driven daily. I have enjoyed it also and will do my best to answer any questions. On Feb-10-16 at 18:07:48 PST, seller added the following information: Thank you to all who have asked questions. You have been patient and understanding. I have removed the reserve from the car as the bidding was getting close to the reserve anyway. One of the documents I found show that there were 8,235 of these made in 1965 which was actually less than the hard top and even the convertible. In other words, it is event more rare than the convertible. I found a hurst shift handle in the glove box and an original 1965 owners manual. I want to make it clear to all bidders that I will help to make the transition of this car to the new owner a smooth and enjoyable one. I drove the car again tonight around the town of Buford and it is cold here. The heat worked so well I had to turn it down. Bid with confidence that this car is more than even I described as I find more and more to like each day. Good luck to you all and thank you!
