This 1978 Sierra Grande 2500 GMC was sold new 38 years ago from. Boise auto dealer Dennis Dillon. Still in Business Today. The truck was donated to a local non-profit where I purchased it. I This truck has a couple of dings but over all offers an extremely strait body and body lines without the many dents and dings that usually accumulate on these old trucks. The odometer reads 52800 and I think it's possible those are original miles as the brake and gas pedals show almost no wear. This truck has always lived in the high desert so the under side of the truck is in excellent condition the floor pan is rust free and dent free. The body panel fit is excellent and the bed is incredibly strait with just a couple of minor dings There is some minor surface rust on bed and tail gate where the paint has peeled and some pitting at an area on the door where the trim created a water trap. the front bumper is excellent. The front grill has small ding (very repairable). The back bumper is a little bent. The 350 engine runs very strong and the transmission shifts well. I have the original build sheet and owners manual. The build sheet shows the interior as xdd1 Blue Custom Vinyl and the paint color as #12 Frost White. When I purchased the truck it had a monstrous aftermarket Holly 750 carburetor that did not work well so I installed a quadrajet carb that I had and truck runs great how ever I have not tracked down an air cleaner. Options include factory air and cruise and an 8 track player. This is a worthy project with a fairly short path to completion but I have to many trucks and I need to pass it along.
