UPDATE: By way of review, my earlier auction for this vehicle was canceled by me with 2 days left because it developed an unknown issue which I wanted to resolve first. At that time, I had one bidder at my opening price of $6999 with no reserve. I relisted it at a reduced price with a full explanation of the symptoms of the unknown problem. (Monday January 11) Truck was towed this morning as planned to Broadmoor Garage. They had recently done some work for me, which included a tuneup involving changing out an electronic ignition kit that someone had installed back to points and a condenser unit. Apparently the problem was in those points and condenser, and today they replaced them at no charge including the tow. Truck has been picked up and runs better than ever. In light of this information, I am revising my price to $6499 and considering the matter resolved. Following is a cut-and-paste of the text of my original auction.--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truck is mostly original with some exceptions, for example: aluminum radiator, Bilstein shocks, Flowmaster dual exhaust, new heat (a/c) ducting etc. Original 350 V-8, not rebuilt, and Quadrajet 4 bbl carburetor. Factory air (converted to R134) works. Automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Power steering, and power assisted drum brakes. Complete brake job in 2014 including replacement of brake booster and master cylinder, and replacement of all wheel cylinders, brake shoes and drums. Almost everything is operational including gauges, blinkers, lights, horn, wipers. However the radio does not work, and the windshield sprayer does not work. Motor runs strong, it drives straight and the ride is very good. Recent tune-up, oil change, and new battery. I have 3 videos posted at youtube. Search "1970 cst shreveport" at youtube.
