Listing a 2011 BMW X5 5.0i M-Sport Package. This is a flood vehicle with Michigan Salvage Flood Title. Vehicle will need new power train to complete and assembly. Included are many used and new parts that where purchased in an attempt to rebuild truck. Truck was purchased for 16,000.00 here on EBAY from Executiveautocare. Seller lied about actual condition of the truck and stated that engine cranked but no start with no water intrusion into engine or transmission. Also said Truck was checked out by friend of his at BMW dealership and oil was clean with no water ever entering engine. I purchased truck but it took 5 months for my mechanic to verify actual condition of engine. After inspection engine was seized and water was found inside of the engine. Engine was torn down to see damage and was not worth rebuilding. Transmission had about 1-2 quarts of water that settled in the transmission pan and might be salvageable or good for some parts. Torque converter oil had no water when removed. I’ve spent about 5k in parts listed below not including labor. Included with the truck but not pictured are the old front seats good for cosmetic parts only as the motors and computers are no good. I purchased used seats for 1800.00 with less then 25k miles on them and are already installed and work. Vehicle is not believed to have been submerged entirely. Signs of water are consistent with someone driving into a body of water as the rear fuse panel and modules where not damaged as informed by mechanic. Headlights have some sand inside of them. Mechanic jumped out headlights and said they do turn on despite the sand inside. Selling this as a no reserve auction due to lack of space and loss of interest. I have over 21k invested into this project so it is not practical for me to finish but someone that gets it a bargain should have room to work with or you can sell it for parts or build a race car out of it. I am listing local so best offer I receive takes it as I need the space for other projects I have going on. Wheels are 20" staggered M wheels that have some corrosion around the center caps. I have local shop that was going to refinish them for 125. per wheel if interested let me know. Wheels alone should be worth 2-3k.
