I have all the original paperwork and a 2 page window sticker.I posted photos of the original window sticker so you can see all the options this car has(SEE ALL 24 PHOTOS posted)This car cost right at 18K in 1978 dollars, This is a very loaded up high option car.It even has a traction loc(posi) rear end. 1978 is the most desirable year for the last of these big Lincoln Mark V's since 1978 model year was the last year you could order a big block 460 4 brl engine option with real factory dual exhaust and this car has that RARE option,plus the Rare Traction loc (POSI)rear axle. This car runs and drives Great and is smooth as silk.I have been driving it everywhere with no issues.Normally,I would recommend that all older cars should be transported for long distances,but I would not hesitate at all to drive this car anywhere.It is very smooth,powerful and quiet. The transmission shifts perfect.This car literally drives like new.It has no play in the steering and no rattles at all.The factory 4 wheel disc brakes are good and the car stops great.It still has factory Dual exhaust which has 2 new factory style mufflers,2 new Tail pipes and 2 new resonators.It sounds good and is very quiet with no exhaust leaks.Almost everything on this car still works,including the huge power glass Moon roof,along with both power seats and both power windows and the power vent windows. The A/C works and is pretty cool, but could probably use maybe a can of Freon. The heat works Great.The exception is the radio and power antenna.The radio has a mind of its own.When it is working it plays and sounds great even the 8 track works.All 4 factory speakers are fine.The power antenna will raise and lower by hand.I have a NEW old stock OEM quadrasonic am/fm 8 track radio still in its original box that will come with the car as a bonus.The car has a New set of 4 Hankook tires mounted on the original Factory Lincoln Turbine wheels.The original factory Goodyear double white stripe spare tire is still in the trunk and has never been used.The interior is excellent and all original.The dash is perfect with no cracks.The seats,headliner,door panels and carpet is original and excellent.It is very obvious this car was garage kept, most all of it's life.It still has that classic old NEW car smell.No funny odors.The body is still wearing its most all of it's original paint and is very straight and very solid.Although the original 37 year old factory paint is still very shinny,and presentable,it is not perfect.There have been some touch ups to the paint,done here and there over the years.There are a few spots of minor surface rust here and there,but absolutely NO rust through anywhere.The Vinyl top is new and correct.There was NO rust thru under it.The doors open and shut like new.The underside is Rock solid,with no rust or damage. Again,Overall this car is in amazing shape for a 37 year old car.The inside of the trunk is still in like new shape and even still has it's original unused spare still in place.All the lights work.The hide-way headlights also still work and stay shut when not in use. Again keep in mind,this is a 37 year old car,that is pretty much unmolested and still all original.It will be sold AS IS!
