1963 Classic VW Beetle (any car person would love to own) WANT IT FOR CHRISTMAS ? WE CAN END IT EARLY, SURE !! If you are looking for a mildy restored WAY nicer then most Bugs for sale in a classic look for you or maybe kid in collage, you may want to consider this REALLY NICE 63 Beetle Bug up for auction. The car was restored about 8 yrs ago and owned by an older professional female who lovingly drove it almost every day up until just a few weeks ago. She bought it basically how you see it and during the time she owned it, took really good care of it (receipts come with the car for most maintenance and repairs done to the car since aprox 2007) too. Awesome German survivor Type 1 Bug , you just dont see everyday on the road. well, unless you are in Az where they dont rust, you do see them more often then most states :) BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Car really looks great in pics and in person Id say its just as nice. Its fun to drive and during the restoration in the mid 2000s It was painted with the red classic inlay ( Im pretty sure the original color was just all black). I was told the interior was redone with the nicer German resto parts (not sure how to verify that) but the interior is beautiful smells new. Also new seals etc where also done too thru out. As Im told, the car didnt need any major repairs during the resto, they started with a nice solid 63 Bug and what you see now it how it came out when they where done. OUR 100% feedback rating is spot on, and not just about parts we have bought on ebay, but also reflects ALL the vehicles we have sold here on Ebay for ourselves and local Az customers. We put more time and effort into our ads making it much easier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence. We try to show all the areas well in the 100+ pics below. Desert SW cars are time capsules and the best kind to own ! DRIVETRAIN: best we can tell its still a 1200 cc motor, not sure if its the original or not. Fires up everytime you hop in and take it out. Very clean under the bonnett I was told the motor was restored during the resto, but no way to really prove it at the moment. Manual transmission and clutch feel good too. Starts right up all the time and drives down the road like an old Bug should. Just recently Ive noticed its a little hard to put into 1 first from neutral sometimes, but not all the time. The clutch fluid was low and I added some, theres a good chance that is all it was. Driven it since and it feels and sounds better. It may need to have the clutch bleed too. Driving it around its fun to drive and up shifts are all smooth and quiet. Evidence of some oil leaks which is pretty typical of ALL VWs. Its not dripping leaving spots on my floor. INTERIOR: also restored.. take a look, the interior is really nice and you can tell it was done well. It really looks great in pics and to me it looks as nice in person. A reverse lock was also installed many yrs ago as a theft deterrent. New rubbers / seals too around all the glass. Original Sapphire radio lights up but hasnt worked since it was converted to 12v. Windows work like normal too. The car gets compliments everytime I drive it around town or to a local show. My understanding is that materials used in the interior resto, was the nicer stuff on the market from Germany. I cant verify that 100% but the last owner said he used the better quality parts available. It smells as nice as it looks :) EXTERIOR: Restored Nicely ! again, I believe the original color was black so during the resto, the Red Inlay was applied for a nice classic look.. The body, chrome and trim all look really nice . The paint etc being about 10 yrs old and the car being almost a daily isnt perfect, but its really that nice up close. (unless its dirty, which then shows all the dirt haha). Ive found a few small chips in and around the body, but they are hard to see. 1 thing to mention, the headlights should be adjusted, I can tell they are a little off when driving at night. SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension thats been taken care of over the years. It drives and handles great !, ..and fun to cruise around in. Shocks feel normal Im sure some suspension repairs where done from normal wear and tear over the yrs during the restoration. No weird clunks or noises and just smooth and easy to drive. Looks to have never been altered or messed with, keeping with the survivor theme on this car. Not sure what shape all the bushings etc are all in, but just driving it around town as it sits, it feels like a normal older bug driving car. At least our auctions show as much as possible to potential buyers and bidders.
