This 1961 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside was built in the St. Louis plant. There were only 2,844 of these pickups produced in 1961. Sold in PA where it stayed until 1985 when it was brought to Idaho. I purchased it from the owner who lived just four streets over from my grandparents for 30 years. This little pickup has all of its original parts and trim still intact besides the mid 80's cassette player that was installed in the factory holes not cut out. The seat is in great condition with no tears or rips. All the gauges and electrical work great including the headlights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, cigarette lighter, heater, speedometer, gas gauge, generator light, and oil light. The previous owner had lots of maintenance done over the years with paperwork and receipts for things including steering, brakes, and upgraded to a 110hp RX series 1965 engine which was a step up from the original for power and strength. The 2 Speed Automatic Powerglide transmission shifts perfect and moves the little pickup right down the road. Yes this Corvair does drip a few drops of oil from the pan gasket each day as most do. The common areas of rust for the Rampside are present as well in the fold down ramp lower skin bottom, few small inner door areas, and the tailgate lower skin bottom. These areas do not affect the driving or usability of the pickup. This is a running daily driver. This pickup could be restored to pristine original condition if wanted or just maintained and driven as I have with its original patina and character. Recent items that I had done in the past 12 months include full tune up including distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, belt, electric fuel pump, rebuilt carbs, bench synced carbs/linkage, valves adjusted, brake shoes, and front brake hoses. Deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of listing closing. The remaining amount is due within 72 hours of listing closing. Payments must be made through Wire/Funds transfer secured by bank. The full engine overhaul was done in 2004 when the pickup odometer was at 138911 which puts the engine at 14k mile since rebuild. Included work from 2004 as follows engine rebuild, transmission seal kit, shifter cable, transmission modulator, axle seals, wheel cylinders, and battery. Included work for 2009 as follows front control arms bushing kit, rear control arms bushing kit, front ball joints, rear ball joints, idler arm, and rotors turned.
