Up for your approval is a vintage 1980 Mercedes 300SD. Currently on the road and registered. Mostly original except for the aftermarket cd player and sony speakers the previous owner never wired up. Also it has a straight pipe....not my idea. A few problem areas include- engine mounts are worn so it allows the engine to rock at idle, but when it gets going its fine. The wiring to the key start has some interruption so the car currently starts with a push button under the hood. Kinda gives it that "crank start" feel. Cosmetically the 35 year old paint is chipping and faded, and the rockers are pretty rusted. Framework is sound. The odometer only shows around 96K but the previous owner claims there to be 130K. Tires have very few miles on them. Happy hunting!
