We traded in this bike a couple of years ago, stuck it in a corner and forgot about it. Well, during a fall cleanup we found it, stuck a battery in it, fired it up, and rode it around for a few days. It is a 2001 Sprint ST, with the bullitproof 955 injected, water cooled three cylinder powerplant producing about 108 HP. It runs really well, shifts thru its 6 speed gearbox just as it should and the charging system works perfectly. Basically, it is a very mechanically sound Sprint. But.... I think it looks like crap! The bike was at one time dropped, and rather than fix it with nice replacement parts they took the whole bottom fairing section off and did a custom look. They frenched in an LED taillight/turnsignal system which may or may not be legal where you live and capped it off with a sparkly red metallic paint job.. Bleh.... I'd repaint it IMMEDIATELY if it were mine. So, there you have it. If you are looking for a mechanically great platform to build a cool custom bike with here it is. Or ride it as it is.
