This auction is for a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (P71) that was used as a police K9 vehicle. It has 88879 original miles and is a rust-free California car. The car comes with a clear California title and has just passed a California smog test inspection (inspection report included). The car is sold without license plates. This vehicle is equipped with a 4.6L EFI V8 gas engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, 3.27 traction-lok rear axle, silicone coolant hoses, air conditioning, comfort convenience group (8-way power driver’s seat, cruise control, AM/FM stereo radio with cassette), anti-lock brakes, tilt wheel, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, power/heated mirrors, power trunk release, power adjustable pedals, rear window defroster and driver/passenger side air bags. The vehicle condition is consistent with most twelve year old police vehicles. This car runs and drives well, the tires and brakes are good and the car recently had a new fuel pump installed. Everything on the car works except for the right rear door will not open from the inside (inside handle missing) and will not unlock from the driver’s door master switch. The left side instrument cluster lights are not working, the front speakers don’t work, and the key minder chime does not work. The car has been involved in two accidents that required the left rear door, quarter panel and rear bumper to be repaired in 2007, and the left front door was replaced in 2013. The driver’s door VIN label was removed from the old door and comes with the car (unattached). The paint is peeling from the corner of the roof (see pictures) and there are holes located in the roof and on the truck lid which were used for mounting police equipment (see photos). Both front doors have been painted flat black to comply with California regulations. The interior has been altered to allow for police K9 equipment and the aftermarket dome light does not work when the doors are opened but does work when using the switch on the dome light. The vehicle comes with the factory jack and a spare wheel, but no tire. No other parts or accessories come with this vehicle. This vehicle is owned and operated by a municipality and has always received regular preventive maintenance service. Included with the sale are the service/repair records for the car dating back to 2003, owner’s manual and original window sticker. Scheduled inspections of the vehicle may be made prior to the close of the auction. Full payment is due within seven (7) days from close of auction. The vehicle will not be released until payment has been received and cleared. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up and registration. We are unable to provide shipping quotes or locate/select a shipper. Vehicle must be picked up within 15-days from close of auction.
